I had to have a car serviced, it is under a manufacturer warranty (Renault) and is a heavily modified vehicle to take a wheelchair etc, so servicing is a bit of a specialist thing.
Well I haven't had it serviced since I've gone FT, and of course all the details etc are under my old name.
So stuff that, I wore a nice top and and a just lower than mid-thigh skirt and knee high boots with about 2 inch heels. Looked cute.
In I go, it was booked in, 'Hi I'm surname and my Kangoo is booked in' the paper work is retrieved and the guy looks at me keeping his face straight. 'Its foa XYZ service and a flush of the fuel etc etc,, and your contact number is as written?" 'Ye say I, but the name has changed and I've had a new chassis and extensive bodywork changes to go with it'.
He smiled and said the records will be updated.
I got back to the place at the pick up time, the car wasn't quite ready, so I waited and we had a chat, well I think I was being chatted to
Paid the bill, all my details had been changed on the records.
I got in the car and there was a small bunch of flowers on the driving seat with a little note. "Congratulations"
I had a few tears as I drove home.
What cute people.
Just thought I'd share
Hugs
Cindy
Wow that sounds great. It is good to hear that people really do care about our community. :)
If only you were single and ready to mingle ;)
What a cutie :D
That's great, there's a lot of times I wish I'd had a mechanic boyfriend,it would have saved time, money, broken nails ,skinned knuckles and swearing!
What a lovely gesture, it's the little things like that mean so much

My hayfever must be playing up again, because after reading the above I now seem to have something in both of my eyes. ;)
What an awesome gesture!
A bouquet of flowers, a chicken sharwama for a homeless person, these little things are the important ones. These are the things that we remember, the things that change us and make us better people. Hugs, Devlyn
AWWW! :D
That's so sweet!
That's awesome, kudos to that guy
That's a cool story. ;D
Sorry to divert from the lovely event Cindy, but ears pricked up when I heard you had a Kangoo!
The last car I had was a Kangoo. I loved it. It was such a roomy thing and so reliable. Not too fast which is perfect for me.
Sadly, this being England, the dealership was never as helpful as yours. But I had a local guy who runs his own garage and he always did mine.
The day I had to sell it was a real downer. Made slightly easier knowing it was bought by a really nice young couple with 3 kids and a dog who lived in the sticks.
Anyway, digress over. Apologies. I'll get out the photos of my old Kangoo now.
Great story, Cindy.
:)
Absolutely fantastic, I find myself looking at how I can make a nice gesture for someone else. I guess being nice to others is contagious.
What lovely guys.. Congrats, Sis.
Hey, good to see you Kelly. How are you feeling? :)
i see there is hope for humanity after all.
But the major question needs to be asked.
Was he cute?
