Depending on where you are at in Iowa, I just read that the University of Iowa Hospital just opened up a clinic for LGBT. They do hormone therapy there.

Well, it depends on where you're at in your transition. I don't know of any doctors that would prescribe hormones right off the bat in my area. If you're already on testosterone, I would suggest trying John S Daniels in St. Louis, MO, Jeanette Lanier in Wichita, Kansas, or Patrick M. Nemechek in Kansas City, MO.

If you are in Missouri and are pre-T, I would suggest going to gender therapy with Caroline Gibbs or Patti Concannon at the Transgender Institute. They should give you a referral to Cynthia Glass, who is an internist that prescribes hormones (and she's amazing). They are in Kansas City, and both offices are within reasonable distance of eachother. If you are in Kansas (the eastern side, at least), then they could also be a reasonable choice.
