Title: Slow Changes
Post by: Alex55 on May 21, 2013, 08:31:20 PM
Well I have been on half my regular dose for about a month now.  My T levels were really really high.  So now my levels are on the LOW end.  I am getting really frustrated because I was having such good changes and now they seemed to have stopped.  I had some facial hair growth that I was happy with.  I had to shave my face for an interview including the nice 5 or 6 hairs I had on my chin.  ;D (there were a tiny bit more) but the point is they are not coming back!! And now it seems I am back a square one, wishing I had hair.  I pass fine with out the facial hair, it is just disappointing that it is gonna take more time now that I am trying to get my T levels back in check.

Sorry for the rant!!  :-\

I didn't start getting facial hair that was visible in most light until well after my first year. I didn't start getting seen as male until around 2 years on T.

Well, atleast the good thing is that you say you pass fine without facial hair, but I can empathize with the desire for facial hair!
Im coming up to 4 years on T, and while I grow hair on my chin, there isn't any facial hair anywhere else, and I so badly want facial hair :p

But hey, in time Im sure itll eventually happen for us!

I am having really slow changes too .... very little noticeably ... even my doctor feels they are going too slow.  She has me on a dosage of T that is above normal but my T levels are still in the normal range for a guys (at the top of normal) .... I can't even get my monthly cycle to stop ... I am 15 months on T ... my doctor keeps saying puberty takes 2-5 years .. considering my first round of puberty went quickly I am anxious...hopefully after my hysto in a month things will move a bit quicker

I wonder if it's possible you're converting some T to estrogen? I saw a video from a guy recently who was on a much lower than normal dose, had high T levels, but it was getting converted to estrogen and his changes slowed.

My doctor is the type who starts you out slowly ... she likes to keep the dose as long as possible....I didn't reach a full dose of T until a little over a year ... still had little changes ... the changes have gotten increased a bit since the increase in T

I, and many others, can relate to this. I remember watching youtube vids and seeing guys 8 months on T with full beards and getting so excited, thinking that would be me. My 1 year hit and there was nothing to speak of. A year later, some sideburn action but nothing great. I couldn't grow a decent beard until about 3.5 years on T. And it's still just 'decent', not great haha (you can see in the avatar pic). Facial hair is definitely something you gotta be patient with.
