I apologize if this post is a little long. I believe God uses the small things, the foolish things, to teach us lessons. Sharing this lesson with you.
My little dog is teaching me what it means to follow Jesus. BG follows me from room to room. Always looking up expectantly to see what I will do. Will I kneel down to show him my love? Will I move to another room? He just follows. When I stop to relax or be at the computer, he lays at my feet. Perfectly content to be near me. At perfect rest and peace. When we are outside, if something should frighten him, he either runs behind me or jumps into my arms, knowing I will protect him. He always looks to be obedient, because he loves me and knows that obedience brings reward. And he knows whether he obeys or disobeys, I will always love him completely. BG knows he need not worry about being provided for, for I will give him my best.
This is how I need to follow Jesus. Follow wherever He goes, wherever He leads me, always looking up expectantly. To lay at His feet in perfect peace and rest. To know that when I am afraid I can run behind Him or into His arms, for He is my shield. Nothing and no one can come against me. I am to obey Jesus, because He loves me and I love Him. Knowing that Jesus wants the best for my life and His rewards are better than anything I could ever attain through disobedience. And when I am disobedient, I know His perfect love never changes. I need not worry about what shall I eat, what shall I wear. I need not worry about any earthly needs for Jesus always provides. He knows what I have need of before I ask.

and what do you do when your dog does not obey you? Beat it up? starve him?
What happens when you do not obey your Jesus? Does he gets mad? Why does he needs your obedience?
Did you read the post? When my dog disobeys, I love him anyway. When I disobey Jesus, He loves me anyway. Did you read the post????????
I understood your post. Jesus forgives sin (all sin except denying Him).
I'm not religious, but I love your post. Dogs are my strong suit. Hugs, Devlyn
I'm not religious but I am a Christian and I think mowdan's analogy with the dog and his master is perfect!
A wonderful post, Mowdan.
:)
Amen! I can't add any more words. I love Christ so much, that I seek to be united with Him always, even if my thoughts are not the greatest, nor my actions.
I pray that I will also be able to follow the Lord wherever He leads me!
"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God."
