Title: help, top surgery swelling
Post by: Elijah3291 on May 23, 2013, 03:53:05 PM
I was a little swollen last night so I begrudgingly wore my ace bandage to bed, then took it off in the morning.

Now on my right side above the scars I have a firm swollen lump, I put my ace bandage on again extra tight.

Is that normal? a more firm bump of swelling?

whats the point of wearing the bandage, yes it helps with swelling.. but will swelling ONLY go away with the bandage, is that the only way to get rid of swelling? Wont swelling just go away on its own? cause this bandage really kills my back and hurts my nipples and scars cause its pressing onto them.

I'd suggest you call Dr. G's office asap. If I'm not mistaken the point of the bandage is to keep you from developing a hematoma...so you need to wear it as long as he told you to.
