Title: Tucking and swimming
Post by: dlee on May 24, 2013, 11:42:29 AM
Well summer is coming up and my friends and I are going to a water park this July, although i'm excited but also mortified! I have a few swim suits in mind that I think would be appropriate, Iv'e tucked before and felt just fine but iv'e never tucked in a swim suit before. Will the tuck hold since i'll be in water, will it be comfortable swimming with a tuck?  Iv'e heard using duck tape hold really well, but do you ladies have any more tips?

I was thinking one of these because there both sorta one pieces and I can apply the tape higher up my back for extra support, wanted to get a second opinion before I purchased one.

I want to wear a bikini so bad. ugh. My testes have shrunk I think so tucking is easier but I hate touching them. I mean I really dislike it and the thought makes me *shiver*. Is everyone like this or is just me? I can't wait til I don't have them anymore.

Sorry no real advice on tucking but duct tape. Ouch! But I heard that if you but tissue paper on your junk then tape it doesn't hurt. But what happens when ya have to pee? I would just go with some short shorts to swim in. No one really questions if a girl is self-conscious cause well girls are self-conscious.

Last time I went swimming, I tucked with nylons that had the legs cut off...wearing my old (guy) shorts, 'cause I didn't know how well the nylons would hold up, under chlorinated water.

They did just fine, and I could've tightened up the edges to fit a more revealing shorts...but probably not a bikini.

This was with diving, cannon-ball and generally frolicking in and around the water.

Though it's not about tucking... I found this page to be useful for styles. Maybe it will be helpful for any of the other banana shaped ladies out there...

I've never tucked, and I wore a skirted bathing suit to the beach pre-op - yeah, it's a bit old-lady-ish, but it covered everything beautifully and I didn't have to worry at all.

With that said, I've totally got a bikini for my first post-op summer. :)

They sell some nice swim suits but they all require more confidence than I have!

I was gonna suggest going with the duct tape (i have had it hold for 12hrs straight before but was on dry land the entire time) but also wear a pair of panties that are a size smaller then what you normally wear under the swimsuit to help hold everything in place and prevent an accidental slip, and help prevent any tape from showing from under the swimsuit.

Most bathing suits are made out of nylon so tucking in a womans bathing suit bottom is easy. No tape needed not for me anyways. I have a bikini bottom with a skirt attatched. Also I bought this sexy bathing suit from http://www.lavieenrose.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductURL1_10052_10001_-1_5001_5_5001002_OnePiece_393209_OnepiecewithSkirt_ProductDisplayErrorView_ (http://www.lavieenrose.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductURL1_10052_10001_-1_5001_5_5001002_OnePiece_393209_OnepiecewithSkirt_ProductDisplayErrorView_)

Also you could always get another bottom bikini style in a size smaller

Hella old post, I know - but it hit when I was doing a beach trip with BF and googling/freaking out about the bikini thing. Things went incredibly well, wish I could post pics of how hot I looked ;P thanks to everyone who posted here, it helped tons! I'm only four months into HRT so it was kinda a rushed experience, but these posts really helped me through it!

Also, first post - yaaaaays!

I know this thread is a little aged, but seeing as I swim all the time on a swim team and cant wear suit with skirts on them due to drag, I have gotten pretty good at taping up and not making it hurt.... too bad. I hope I am not to descriptive for some of the audience.

All you need is shaving cream, razors, petroleum jelly, kt tape (your skin color), and duct tape (you skin color if you can find it).

Clearly the key is to be completely shaven, everything from your belly button down under and back up above your butt. Shouldnt have hair there anyway, hehe. So use your shaving cream and razors if you need it.

Use the jelly on the tip of your thing  and a tad further up than you think (trust me) dont skip this.

Then take 2 long strips of duct tape and tape your lower regions in an x shape manner so that pressed up between your legs. Be sure to not go so wide that the tape will show when you have your suit on. It should be snug! After that, take 2 smaller strips and tape vertically the ends that are on your behind cheeks so so that those 2 strips that have a lot of tension stay put from a piece of tape with less tension. then take another strip and tape horizontally the tapes on your groin so they dont pop off and they stay put. then take 2 strips of kt tape and tape the the edges of you crotch between your legs so that it makes the duct tape less obvious if you do breast stroke, and it a lot more friendly on you legs as far as friction is concerned.

I swim in the pool this way, butterfly, back stroke, free, breast stroke, ect... and it holds for hours, even went biking for 4 hours and ran some and still held. Took me a lot of practice to get it right. And with swim team, have to wear suits that wont allow you to hide anything with a little skirt thing and cant wear shorts.
