Title: What makes you sad?
Post by: Renae.Lupini on June 04, 2007, 11:30:52 PM
Pretty straight-forward question. What is it that makes you sad? what is/would be a good way to get past it?

What makes me really sad and livid is to see so many hungry children in some of the poorest countries of the world.  I think that if every person (those who can) could just help one child (through donations and such), their lives would considerably improve.

It makes me sad that so many children have children of their own.  Why can't we help educate these poeple... "Do you know where babies come from?"  sort of thing.

I get sad when I am lonely.  That's one of the reasons I spend so much time here.  I betchya didn't know you are all my friends didjya?  I know that a lot of us are lonely people.  I like to think that the other person typing letters in response is real. But sometimes I wonder if it isn't all a dream.

A few worldly thinghs makes me sad  - like the disasrter of the Iraq war (I am sad and angry on that one).

On a personal note - I am extremely sad at how depressed I was. To think I could of very easily end my life in those dark days makes my shake with absolute horror  :'( . Gee - I was thinking of ending it for months - I did not know I was depressed - and I did not know I could get though with help that I so despiratly needed.

I am felling happy and so much better there days. Thanks to everyone  :icon_hug:

There are so many that it's easier to list the opposite.

So, what makes me happy?

My Job, for the most part.
Being on the water in my little boat.
The fact that I am shedding weight very quickly.

People who are angry with me for things I did not do.

Taking my nail polish off at the end of an outing.

Financial struggles.

How do I get through it?  By trying to be a friend to others.  It reminds me that there are people whose problems are much more serious than my own.  It helps put things in perspective.  Want to snap out of depression?  Go visit people in a nursing home.

What makes me sad?

How shallow love seems to be. I've seen way, way too many people cheating on, lying to, and backstabbing the ones they go home to every night. The attitude that almost all of my male friends have of women being for nothing but sex. Most of my (former) female friends have cheated on their boyfriends.

It seems the more you trust someone, the more likely they are to be lying. And the biggest loss is the time you devote to them.

Those don't make me sad, they raise the hair on my neck.  They make me afraid and angry.

I get sad when I am lonely.

Cindi

I know what you mean. But sometimes, when loneliness is your only companion, you have to become friends with her, and once that happens, you will be amazed where you can go together, beautiful, magical places no one has ever been to unless of course they also consider her a friend.  ;)
