So I've been purchasing T from a small pharmacy the first few months for $60 a month! Then, at Walmart, was able to get it for $32 a month. Now...I called CVS and they have 5 months worth for only $97! So that turns out to be around $20 a month. But, the smallest amount my CVS sells is for $97 (although that would last a good 5 months). Wow - I've been ripped off for so long ESPECIALLY at the first pharmacy :O
How much do you guys usually get yours for? I know we aren't allowed to discuss amounts on here and stuff, but let's just say a months worth of 'standard dose'. What's the cheapest you've ever gotten and where? Thanks!
$20 or so per month.
Most places only sell a 10mL vial.
Edited for implied dosages.
$65 for a 10mL vial here.
Why would you buy the tiny vials? They always cost more.

This.
A 10ml vial is so much cheaper and places like costco, samsclub, walmart and even stroheckers do it cheaper.
I pay $85 for 10 weeks worth.
$60/ 10 ml at stroheckers without ins.
after a battle with walgreens, $32/ 10 ml after ins.
59.95 for a 10 ml vial plus syringes. I go through stroheckers. They mail it because in MA it's a controlled substance and from a pharmacy here you can only get a tiny vial that lasts like 2 doses
Last time I bought it: 38 bucks. 10 bucks shipping, and a few bucks for needles, so a little over 50 bucks all together.
Edited for implied dosage info.
I was getting pretty good prices at Costco, but I can't remember how much I paid because the price was different every time. Strohecker's is reasonable, as Michael Joseph points out. But now I fill my scrip in town at a Priority pharmacy for about $50 for a 10-millimeter vial.
We should talk in terms of vial size and not say anything about how long it lasts. Pretty much everyone knows the two main vial sizes and can work out dosages.

I get mine at Costco and it's $65.50 as of earlier this month. I've only bought there once so not sure if it'll change in the future. Guys do need to know that you don't have to have a Costco membership to get in and use the Pharmacy. Just tell the person at the door you're getting a prescription and they'll let you in.
I get my needles/syringes at Walmart with an Rx because it's cheaper at 14 cents a piece (they're 25 cents each at Costco). I get another prescription filled at Walmart anyway so it's not really a special trip just for the needles.
I wish Strohecker's still shipped to my State but I'm in one of the Southeastern ones that they don't anymore.
6,75€/~8,73$ per one vial. :P
But then again, this is Finland and we automatically get some discount with the health insurance card before having the legal sex changed.
20$ for 2 and a half months. Hungary is quite cheap transition-wise compared to other countries.
Edited for too much dosage info.

There's no discussion of concentration which means there's really no idea of what the doses are (but I still agree).

In the U.S., at least, most people (nearly all I've talked to, with one or two exceptions) use the same concentration. I just want to be safe and not run afoul of the TOS. If I miss it and another mod catches it, you can still get into hot water.
0_0! Wow, thank you for sharing. I would never have thought about that.
As a poor person, I ALWAYS check with the pharmacy before I get a script filled, just so I know I'm getting the cheapest price possible (I know that makes me a pain in the butt for those workers, but I can't afford to get ripped off). That's crazy that there would be such a price hike at some places though!
I've been so worried about how much hormones would cost me, it's reassuring to see how cheaply some of you are able to get it though! Maybe I won't have to sell my soul in order to be able to afford it! Haha! Makes me even more excited to fill out for health insurance with my job and get this process in motion!

You tend to get it cheaper at compounding pharmacies because they do their compounding in house, while pharmacies such at Walgreen's/CVS/etc do not, they have to make a profit and that's why they charge higher than getting it directly from the source. Cutting out the middleman cuts out a lot of cost.
I pay $10 for 10mL vial.
Without insurance I think it would be around $120.
It does pay to shop around. Some pharmacies now have discount programs for their uninsured members. It is a way to keep them coming back.

Compounding Pharmacies do tend to have it cheaper but make sure to research the one you're going to use. There have been plenty that have been shut down permanently or temporarily due to unsanitary conditions or fibbing about the concentration of meds to cut costs.
well I can get:
10 ml from cvs without insurance, $100
10 ml from stroheckers $60
10 ml from cvs when my Dr filed me as male with a testosterone deficiency $15
1 ml from walgreens $15, idk how this happened because I didn't file with the same dr that wrote my script as a cis male
My insurance charges the same for a 10 ml, 5 ml or 1 ml vial, obviously, I'm going to get a 10 ml vial. They do the same for other meds, 30 day or 90 day supply has same co pay amounts. This isn't true for things like inhalers where the 'containers' are still separate.
I pay $5 for each 3 month shot including syringes.
$25, mine's the gel though. I would only pay about 15$ for the shots.
