Title: Shoes Shoes & more Shoes
Post by: nudeox on June 01, 2013, 09:19:43 AM
I had a thought that it might be good to have a post dedicated to shoes.

If you have been out and purchased a pair of shoes or ordered some online do the following
1. take a pic or 2 of them
2. upload here
3. tell us your (m) US size and the (f) size purchased - this will help others to work out their size when ordering
4. if online - submit a link to the shoes
5. let us know how they rate - ie are they narrow/wide comfy or blister busters!!

if anyone else has any additional ideas that might help please feel free to suggest

I have a pair of the "espresso" Alice Work (the pair on the left in the image below) that I got from the Crocs web site (http://www.crocs.com/). They come in the "relaxed fit" and I got the women's 12. I have 2 pairs of the Olive that I also got from Crocs. The black ones are size 12 relaxed, but the "bubblegum" weren't available in any size larger than 11 relaxed. I got them anyway. Olivia are currently sold out, though. I found that the Crocs women's 12 relaxed are actually a little lose, so I added insoles to them (visible in the espresso Alice Work and the black Olivia) to make them fit better, but they're still a little lose without socks. The size 11 relaxed (the bubblegum pair on the right) fit just fine with out socks or insoles.

From Woman Within (http://www.womanwithin.com/) I got two pairs of Comfort View boots, both in women's size 12M.

The pumps are Easy Street, but I can't find the size on them. Also, I can't remember if I got them from Zappos.com or Woman Within. They're probably a women's 11.5 or 12.

For sandals, I have not had any serious problem in size, but high heel pumps do matter in size.
I usually wear US women's size 10, and order sandals at that size.
But for > 4 inch heel pumps, I added 1 or 2 size. Also, I found that I have better order wide size.

Size 10, 4-inch sandals from Payless shoes
Purchased at 2004, and abandoned last year. Very comfortable to walk.

Size 10, 4-inch striped sandals from amazon.com
No longer available as I purchased in 2004. Not comfortable to walk.

Size 11, 4-inch pumps from http://www.pierresilber.com/ (http://www.pierresilber.com/)
I had to order size 12 or wider ones. Too tight. Virtually impossible to walk outdoors.

Size 10, 4.5 inch heel sandals
Tight in the toes. Not to comfortable to walk.
