Title: Summer has started and I can’t hide breast growth anymore!!!
Post by: JLT1 on June 01, 2013, 09:53:10 PM
Well, it's gotten a little difficult....  In March of 2012 I decided to change my life but I really didn't think I would end up transitioning!  Anyway, I was 6'1", I slouched, I looked down a lot, was a 46 B-C and weighed 287.  I quit smoking and started a diet.  I went on HRT in January.   Now, I'm a 40DD, I stand tall at 6'2"and weigh 212 (still have a way to go).  Anyway, I've been hiding my breast growth from all of my family except my wife.  Now, with summer here I can't hide anymore so I'm forced to some out.  I decided to do it today as my daughter, son-in-law, and my niece are all here for the weekend.  I put on a nice sports bra (I need support), a nice T-shirt I borrowed from my niece, a rather form fitting pair of pants and decided to wait for a good time to talk or even for a question or two.  There has been no time that felt right or even when we were all together but there also have been no questions. Not even an odd look.  I'm obviously presenting as different, not fully female but everyone is running around acting totally normal.   Now, I'm really puzzled.  The only thing I can think of is my wife has talked.  No way anyone could miss this.  Suggestions?  Everyone is still here through tomorrow lunch....

The in between strange summer force out move. I would say just do it a little slow to give your family time to adjust instead of just springing it on them. That can back fire. But like you said you can't dress like its still winter because its summer time.

You could ask your wife if she prepped the others....if she didn't, call a family gathering and just Come Out.

Something like..."I've got something to tell all of you, but I'm thinking it's obvious but no one has mentioned anything. Either you're all polite, or...maybe you have questions?"

At this point, someone will ask something, or if there's awkward silence...that's when you go into the Standard Type I Come Out schpiel...which you've already got the intro down:

Good luck!!

I wish I had some advice, but I'm going through the coming out fears myself.  However, I really wish you lots of luck.

Also, if it makes you feel better, kids usually are more understanding of everything.  It's been the experience of many that I know.  If my parents had come out to me, it would be a little challenging but I'd of course support them.

Best of luck :)
