Title: An Odd Musing: Youtube Reflecting Transition Changes?
Post by: kokochan900 on June 02, 2013, 03:28:05 PM
I don't know if this is all in my head or not, but here it goes anyway.  I went to my youtube channel and the recommended videos section at the top of the page has gradually changed over the last three months since I've started hormones.  I've noticed that my moods have been changing and that the concentration I give to certain interests of mine have shifted around a bit, and as a result, the stuff I watch and read about have also changed somewhat.  The videos that used to get recommended to me were mostly how-to-build videos, science documentaries, and videos about male role models (Ex: Michio Kaku). Now it's mostly blog channels, cartoons, and videos about female role models (Ex: JK Rowling).  I'm not too sure if it's a direct effect from hormones, or if the cause is more elaborate than that, but it caught my interest, and I just thought I'd share it.

Very interesting, I can't wait to see how hormones change me...

I think it's similar to growing up, you're still the same person, you just have different interests and viewpoints.

The mood thing changing is normal and as far as YouTube goes. It goes by what you look at so I guess you have been looking more at other things to make YouTube notice ;)
