I thought I would switch up my avatar again, (but keep it in the same vein, of course.)

So who is this one?  Appears to be dancing!

My Little Pony - Rescue at Midnight Castle - G1 pilot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-Ll5zaPcIE#)  I love Firefly so much.. As in the pony, not the show.  And this is 80s.

Is this from the first version of the series?

Yea, the thing I linked is the pilot episode from the 80's.  Rainbow Dash of FIM fame is loosely based off of Firefly, which I believe was Lauren Faust's favorite pony?

I'm sad that clip thing cut out the song she sings to Megan when Megan is afraid that the other ponies won't like her and think she is useless and will laugh at her.  It's kinda inspiring. :)

I knew of the show but never watched it.

I looked at the wiki entry of the show and according to it, Sherry Lynn (voice of Portia Porcupine), Bettina Bush (voice of Dotty Dog) and Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) worked on the show. I have no idea which actress did which voice, though.

Sherry Lynn (One of my heroines, I grew up watching Tenchi Myuo and she played my favorite character) played Baby Half Note.  Nancy Cartwright was Gusty.  I'm not sure who Bettina was though.

Tenchi Muyo! OVAs - Official Clip - Ryoko's Baby! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhYw_YAMLFc#)  Sherry Lynn plays the cute girl with the blue pigtails.  That's how I grew up knowing who she was. :)

Oh! Bettina Bush plays Megan.  She was the human in the Firefly clips.  Here's her song with Firefly I was talking about though:

Ah I see. Well, no matter when I hear that voice, I will always think of Portia. :D But I might check out that anime based on the fact that Sherry Lynn is in that alone and I might be able to get into that more than My Little Pony. Even I was a total Get Along Gang fanatic as a child (and especially now). My Little Pony never did much for me.

I love Sherry Lynn.  She sings a song in Tenchi Muyo too which I am trying to find.

Not banished dear friends  :)  It just sounded like a good topic to start it's own thread for, I imagine there are several others who like various cartoons and would like to participate in the discussion

Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi Universe. In that order. Btw that beaver I asked about is voiced by Scott Neville. He also does Robin from Teen Titans. I knew I knew his voice.

I don't really like the cartoons they show on tv these days in Finland... I guess it's because I don't have childhood nostalgia attachment to them but they tend to have very bad voice acting (they're dubbed to Finnish because KIDS) and whatnot.

The only ones I really like are from my childhood, from the glorious 90s. My all time favorites are Muumilaakson tarinoita (Moomin) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moomin_%281990_TV_series%29) and Once Upon a Time... Life (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Time..._Life).
The latter one has VERY bad Finnish voice acting to be honest and the plot is more or less... horrible (seriously, getting pneumonia just from playing tennis or whatever, lol much?) but I like the educational value of the series. I seriously remembered some things about DNA from that series when I was attending a biology course in evening upper secondary! :D And I have the whole series as a DVD box, got it as 18th b-day present from Mom. She knows I loved the series as a kid.

And of course, I used to watch Pokémon. It was the end of the world if I missed an episode.
Too bad it's turned into crap now.

I used to have a Portia plush! I was really bad about keeping her skates on her. I also remember my Portia and Friends Sheet set I used to have. Thanks for the memories Miss Bungle!

The kinds of cartoons I like are more along the lines of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, X-men, Cybersix, etc. I liked Gargoyles as a kid and want to watch it again. I find Invader Zim and Metalocalypse amusing in small doses.
