Hi - Sure this has been discussed here before but couldn't find doing search. I'm currently 2 years post-op and being prescribed by my doctor only estrodial and progesterone and not sure I'm feeling as good as I should. My question is, are you taking progesterone or are you taking an anti-androgen along with your estrogen? Hoping to see a trend that I can discuss with my doctor.
Thank you
It all depends on your blood work... What your total testosterone level is. If it is not between 20-60 ng/dl... And is above that range, you might want to discuss it with your doc. Similarly, if your T level is between 0-15 ng/dl you might consider adding a testosterone supplement in the form of cream, if you feel tired, lethargic, low enegy, or have a very low libido.
I'm postop and take neither an andro-blocker, nor a testosterone supplement. But my blood work also backs this up as well. Get your blood tested and talk to your doc.
Thank you for that input. I do have my blood work done regularly by my MD but I'm having a tough time convincing her that estrogen with progesterone is not right or working well for me. The more I research the less I see that post-op girls are even taking progesterone. Anyone here taking progesterone daily? Christine

I do not. The side effects (depression) and the fact that it is metabolised in to testosterone, which I don't need, have no benefit for me. The reports of it helping with breast tissue growth in MTFs are anecdotal at best. I'll pass.
