Title: Large waist
Post by: dlee on June 11, 2013, 01:31:37 AM
Hello all I have a few questions about getting the perfect "hourglass" figure not even that just having a feminine body. Besides fat redistribution how does hrt help our bodies become more feminine? I lost quite a bit of muscle recently but I still look athletic/lean. I'm 5'9 in a half and I weight 163 lbs also young but my measurements are chest:37-shoulders-18(width)-biceps 11-waist-30-hips 38. I don't have hips what so ever I just have a really big bum. What are my chances of my body feminizing really well, where am I so far? I want to loose more weight a combination of fat and muscle I have a lot more to go, also I have a small bone structure but I think I have large ribs. what are some of your personal experiences?

First of all, there is nothing wrong with an athletic-looking woman!

Tell me these gals aren't smokin'

So, to achieve the "hourglass" you want to get a waist to hips ratio of about 0.7

Say you add an inch or two to yours hips and ass from HRT.

40 inches x 0.7 = 28 inches.  So you want to lose 2 inches in your waist.  How to do it?  Tightening up the abs can help.

BTW - #19 is Zipporah Chase of the LA Temptations.  5' 11" 175 pounds

In my experience, there's no substitute for accepting yourself and your body as the beautiful woman you are.

Taking care of yourself is good, but in the end you're unique and amazing and as long as you keep that in mind, you'll be happy with your body no matter what shape it turns out.

Generally HRT affects the way that your body fat is distributed, it has no effect on your skeletal structure, unless you begin it before puberty that is and unfortunately i would say most people don't have such luck. You can try corset training as a lot of people have, i cant give you any opinion on that because I haven't tried it, but as far as i know there is no way to make your actual rib cage smaller besides having surgery (though im not sure if this surgery actually exists) but of course that is an extreme which is probably better avoided, thus you can't really change the size of your waist if you have a thick waist :( as far as hips go, women tend to have larger hips because their pelvises are wider so it, that's what gives them that little wiggle when they walk- but there are things like fat transfers and injections that you can get to achieve larger hips and bum (ive seen many transwomen with this, though most have been quite exaggerated). Another thing that you can try if hrt doesn't help feminize the body much, because we are all different after all- is exercises, there are exercises you can do to get larger thighs which can give the appearance of a more feminine body, well if you are so lucky- I've noticed that large thighs tend to be a more female trait because women tend to carry more fat in the lower region than men, ive never actually seen a male with large thighs and hips haha- but who knows they may be out there :P Anyway good luck with your journey, and hopefully you can find something that works for you.

Do I count? :P
25" thighs, 40" hips. One of my favorite self-dimensions, and not caused by HRT. :)

I'm in my 40s and have female family members who have no shape at all.:) I'm stuck. But honestly, the physical changes mean very little to me. I have the family pooch belly now unfortunately. But working on it.  HRT can only do so much to a developed body, I'm guessing. I'm happy with who I am and how I look, so that's what counts to me.

I'm starting to think I must be the only mtf on this site not measuring every part of her body. I couldn't even tell you my measurements of my hips and thighs. If most of us would less time measuring ourselves and more time on presentation then these numbers can be overcame. Women come in all shapes and sizes don't get to wrapped up with numbers.  :)

Heather, there are at least two of us. :) I gave up on measurements and just worry about being healthy.
