Title: working with silicone?
Post by: chuck on June 16, 2013, 04:01:34 PM
hey guys. For those of you who work with silicone to make packers and other things - how do you start? I have a phallo and use a cock sleeve for my erection. It works fine, but im always interested in making it better. Can you guys give me some pointers on where to buy the material and how to use it?

Thanks

Well I have a friend who does this.It has cost him 1000s of hours and $$.  I think he is a perfectionist, so that may cause him more problems. But it is an expensive hobby, but if you're interested I can ask him where he gets the stuff. There is some sort of silicone clay type material. It looks neat to work with, but I think it only comes in bright colors (?).

Just curious about this. I found a couple things that might be helpful.
Sugru is a silicone clay. Sounds like fun but it would take a lot to make something like this (also you have to mix the colors). Looks like a great geek toy though. https://sugru.com/ (https://sugru.com/)

This instructable is very neat. Shows you how to work with silicone caulk. Might not really want a caulk prosthetic but would be a fun way to learn. http://www.instructables.com/id/Worlds-easiest-silicone-mold/ (http://www.instructables.com/id/Worlds-easiest-silicone-mold/)

Also this site, has some beginning silicone molding stuff. http://www.smooth-on.com/ (http://www.smooth-on.com/)
There is some beginner life casting. OTOH, you'd have to find someone to life cast...which might be interesting.

I'm using this in my upcoming silicone recoloring tutorial; it's awesome and easy to understand with a few reads:
