Title: LolaJake- Brody(actually not that bad)
Post by: xaphroditesxapprenticex on June 23, 2013, 01:05:15 PM
So as some of you may know I recently got the "Chris" from lolajake and was rather displeased with the product. There were just a lot of overall issues with it that are such a disappointment of a product that runs at $500+ a piece.

I was planning to sell the Chris and try to get some of my money back, when I found someone who had a brand new "Brody" model and was willing to trade. Chris is 5.5" x5.5" (it's really almost 6 around). Brody is 6"x5"(really about 5 1/4").
I received Brody today and have to say that the overall quality of this one was much better than mine. It by no means competes with RM or Emisil, but it is still a decent competetor. Especially it's their new line that they plan on launching.

The girth difference between the two models is VERY noticeable. Brody, is a much more realistic  size in both length and girth. My hand can actually fit around this one haha. Chris also had some very awkward skin folds on what seems like an outer "skin" layer. Brody still has this skin, but it is tighter on him, and does not fold as awkwardly. The skin moves when rubbed, very similar to how a bio penis skin moves when rubbed. Something that I haven't seen in RM or Emisil.

Another big issue with Chris was his balls. The sac was very wide and the testicles inside were very small, the sac seemed very empty, unrealistic, and overall uncomfortable. Brody on the other hand has a smaller sac, so the testicles actually seem better placed there. They do move around nicely inside the sac.

Overall, Brody is much better than Chris. I'm a number of different ways. I will probably be keeping Brody around for play purposes, though its not really an everyday packer.

I did try Brody with the adhesive that I have. Anyone who has read my Emisil review, knows that I bought really crappy adhesive that doesn't really hold anything. Oddly enough, even my really crappy adhesive seems to hold Brody fairly well. I haven't tried running with it or anything of that nature, but I'm sure with proper adhesive, Brody would holds his own pretty well the prosthetic is not particularly heavy, and although the outer skin gives it a "dry" appearance, it also helps make the prosthetic very soft against the delicate bits.

The biggest plus that LJ has over the competition is that their products seem more durable. Although they might not have as amazing of a paint job, I'm not afraid of the paint coming off. The flex rod is very sturdy so I don't really have fear of that breaking. The skin is tougher, so I don't fear it being torn very easily. I have heard a number of people saying that the outer skin seems to peel very easily, but with Brody I really haven't seen that yet.

If I had my choice, I would still choose emisil. But with better hopes in LJ due to Brody, I will be looking forward to seeing new things from their re-launch. This is a good option when they have one of those sales where things are a couple hundred dollars off. Or if someone is selling theirs. If they're prices change(lower) or if their quality changes (higher) when they do this relaunch then they have the potential to be just as good or close enough to RM and Emisil.

If you have any questions about any of these prosthetics, feel free to ask :) I'm happy to help in any way that I can!

Will you be doing a video/photo review of this product?  Your ones for the Emisil and Chris were great.  They really helped me to get an idea for the things you were talking about.  :)

Thanks for the review. I have Asher which is a so-called packing model from LJ.  IMO, there are different models which seem to vary in all sorts of ways. The quality control on David from what I have heard is horrible. It has peeling and so on. Asher is very nicely made and no issues. Some are shiny, but Asher is not. OTOH, it is laughable as a packer. I don't know how you could pack with it. It might be nice as play only. It has a chemical smell, which should not be present in medical grade silicone. I have seen RM and I actually have a prosthetic from a friend of mine and it has no smell. I think the paint job isn't awesome, but they did a nice job on the head. I would mad if I paid anywhere near $500, but since I paid $75, it's ok.
They seem to have sales from time to time. BTW, I got a caramel. This is not a latino/asian, etc. color. Just a bit darker than really white.

I have a David model that is being given away in caramel, and my Brody is also in caramel. The Brody matches me pretty good and as some of you may know I'm pretty white.  Chris was vanilla and it was WHITE like pastes ghost white. The David is actually a pretty decent packer. I kind of like it but again, the price tag is not worth what it is. Back when it was a lot cheaper I think it a was a pretty good deal.

So far what I've gathered from LJ is that their products are OK, but nothing really more than that. I'm not sure what made them jump in price over the last year or two, as before when I looked at them they were only a couple hundred instead of this $750 for a play model shenanigans, but back when they were cheaper I think they were a decent option. When they do their relaunch I will get another model to do a give away with and I'll also post a review of it as well. See if they change that much haha.

Yes I will be doing a photo/video review again. I do have a photo of it attached with my really crappy adhesive that I will post after I finish making a video of it. Sadly I don't have the Chris anymore other wise I would do a comparison of the two models. I do have a David model that I can compare it too but it's not as big of a difference in quality as there is between the Chris and Brody.

Thanks for the compliment btw. Good to know someone likes my reviews haha. :)
