Title: just a little secret i wanted to share between you and me
Post by: jonjon on June 09, 2007, 03:10:11 AM
Yesterday morning my mum left me a note before she went to work and i read it when i got up after she'd left.

The name she addressed the note to was Matt... which is my middle name and the name my mum would have chose to name me if i was born in the male body i should have to begin with.

It sure as hell made me smile and i'm not going to confront her about it either because i bet it took her some guts to write it. And i did see the crumpled up note she started first with my female name on it.

Wow! THat's fantastic!!!

She surely loves you very much.
Myself I would give her a big cheek kiss or hug the next time
without mentioning anything (but, hey I'm an emotional gal
I almost had a tear in my eye reading your mesage :-).

sometimes she does things that are really stupid and i wana make her feel really bad for it.... but others like yesterday, when she does things that make me so proud of her! I just wish she'd do more of those things  :-\ lol

But, i'm going to save up for her for next years mothers day. If i can afford it i want to be able to send her and my nan (her mum) to a spa for the day so they can both be pampered to hell all day ^.^ Cos methinks she deserves it.

My given female name and middle name would have been Ursula Teal.

It's the only silver lining to having been born male.

Glad your mom's so supportive, wishy. Or should we say Matt now?  ^-^

You can just call me Jon ;D I think it's best family call me by my middle name anyways since we already have 2 other Jonathan's in the family :-/

On my last birthday card my mother gave me one that had female pronouns on it. It really made me feel good. I never said anything about it. Was sure that she did to make feel good.

Thats awesome, Jon!  I don't know about my mom though, she can be pretty judgmental at times.  My dad's cool like that though.

Thats REALLY nice..... I would be over whelmed if my parents called me by my REAL name...... But sadly that day hasn't happened yet  :(

Wishy, hi,

This got me thinking "what's in a name" nothing and everything. It defines who we are. WOW I'm being really philosophical today, lol. On Monday I had mt first GID consultation the first time anyone has called me by my chosen name (Nigella). I feel it defines how I feel and who I really am, it reaches my soul and the very inner person that I am.

Great to hear for it means a lot to us doesn't it.

Hugs and Kisses

Nigella
