So anyone have any ideas as to what can be done with them during the summer? During the winter i usually tuck them into boots, but that's a little too warm, and i hate the look of them with flipflops.
A nice pair of ballet flats might work. You could mix and match colors.
Yeah ballet flats work with skinny jeans I think.
Make 'em into a pair of Daisy Dukes... ;)
You're going to want to go with either a pair of heels preferably pointed toe pumps or ballet flats or pointed-toe dress flats, because they give feet a slender shape. Loafers and other angular shoes don't work as well because they emphasize the body's width over its length.
Heeled boots are great and almost made for skinny jeans but some casual tennis shoes can work as well. Not athletic trainers or skater shoes though as that will contradict the taper of the jeans and draw too much attention.
I'm scared of skinny jeans because they are so unforgiving on the shape and I still feel like I am too muscular and all upper body. But I love the look and if you're going to rock them might I suggest a bright colored long tunic with a pair of denim skinny jeans and some chuck taylors in basic black. That would shout casual but fashionable at the same time in my mind. Ooh and you could even rock a cute hat with that outfit too.
The question is what type of bag would you carry with it. I am never without my H&M duffel and I luvluvelove it but for an outfit like that I'd go with a smaller purse with a shoulder strap (cross body) rather then a handbag. I could talk about fashion all day long.
Skinny jeans, skinny capris, and some shorts are the main staple of my wardrobe....I can rock them at times...other times I just wear them with some flats, sandals or even some sneakers.
Here I am with some capris last summer...I think I rocked em a bit!!
Sorry if link isn't up for long.....need to stay private

hmmm I'm finding out as I become more comfortable with myself...there are no rules!
just today I noticed my therapist had black slacks with the clog type shoes (not sure what their called, vey popular here) and yellow polka dot socks......really cute!!
Skinnies with sneakers is OK, as long as the sneakers are correct. Skate shoes no. With Converse is OK too..
You can cut them. Short short, knee length or capri length.

SCREW THE "RULES"!!
Those are not clogs they are more like casual wide heeled slip ons. I mean they are kinda like clogs but they have a back. I was talking to this woman once on a business trip to LA and she told me her boss made her wear heels because "she might run into to steven spielberg" and so one day she did and she was wearing pumps. And spielbrg said Hi and then said "I don't know how you wear those heels all day just wear sneakers!" So yeah wear whatever you feel comfy in.

Chucks (or similar) with skinny jeans is a good look imo.

I went over seas a few years ago with my cousin, part of the trip we caught up with mum.
Anyway, she was wearing those bloody crocs everywhere, bright pink. Now I love my mother, but there's a point where you must make a stand and take action, we told her that those crocs had to go.
Also, leading up to that, she was having a lot of issues with her feet, she had been wearing them for about 2 years, the pain started not long after she started wearing them. Within a month of her stopping wearing them, the pain went away and she hasn't had an issue since.
Her doctor told her that they are a real issue and cause of a lot of foot issues. they offer no support at all, so if anyone is thinking of wearing them, go ask a doctor what they think of them.
sorry, when I say sneakers, I mean more runners than anything

I think it depends where you are...some places it's OK. Where I am, it's OK. So when I travel, it becomes OK :P
