Rev. David Weekley, One Of First Transgender Methodist Clergyman, Shares His Story
Rev. David Weekley hid his identity as a transgendered person for 28 years, until he finally revealed his secret in 2009, becoming one of the first openly transgender clergy serving the United Methodist Church. He shared his story on HuffPost Live.

As a person that grew up in the Methodist church and still consider myself Methodist, this is hopeful. There are the "15 things to know about transgender" slideshow if you scroll down. This person had been mentioned before here on Susan's.

A prayer for him:
O LORD Jesus Christ, great High Priest and gracious Shepherd; receive thy servant David Weekley, whom thou hast consecrated to minister to thee in holy things; and grant him such purity of heart and life, and such zeal for souls that he may bring many into union with thee, and fulfill his ministry in holiness to thy glory, our Lord and Saviour. Who livest and reignest, world without end. Amen.
May he receive protection, blessing, and all fortune for his vocation. It's just sad that people can be so judgemental.
Well that is good news :)
I read his story and watched a video of him. I'm proud of Rev. Weekly and pray that many lives will be
touched through his ministry.
