Francisco Alvarado at Banana Republic nails it:  The Christian Family Coalition Hates Transgender People Too.  Not surprisingly, the CFC opposes legal protections and the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for gender-variant people.

The Miami-Dade County Commission is considering an amendment to the county's human rights ordinance that would protect transfolk from discrimination. In response CFC executive director Anthony Vedrugo is rallying his unholy band to show up at the Commission's July 8 meeting to oppose the measure.  You can see the message Vedrugo fired off to his gang of ruffians followers on the inside.

The Miami-Dade Commission wants to pass a dangerous law that will force all places to open bathrooms and dressing rooms to "transsexuals." (men who allege they are women, and women to allege they are men) If one objects, they will be fired, sued and fined!

While Miami-Dade residents are gearing up to celebrate American Independence, the Christian Family Coalition is making sure one group of people don't get to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In response to a proposed amendment to the county's human rights ordinance that would protect transgender folks from discrimination, Coalition executive director Anthony Vedrugo is rallying his Holier-Than-Thou band of racists to show up for the commission's Health & Social Services Committee hearing on July 8 when the measure will be discussed publicly.

Verdugo fired off emails on Wednesday to his "Christian" brothers and sisters, warning them the Miami-Dade County Commission "wants to pass a dangerous law that will force all places to open bathrooms and dressing rooms to 'transsexuals.'"

These people don't represent anything Christian or American to my way of thinking, I am both and would most certainly know the difference. These GLBTI phobic pretenders aren't much different from the Nazis in WWII who told the Jews, "We are gassing you because you killed Christ!" Which was a patently ridiculous assertion and has nothing to do with reality. Kind of pisses one off the way these delusional imbeciles seem to enjoy tormenting others while at the same time giving Jesus a black eye who made the analogy, "You will know them by their fruits. Does a good tree bear bad fruit?"

As I pointed out earlier they are not His true followers, because they are hateful bigots, not acting at all according to His teachings. I suppose you have a choice of deciding how you will act as well, you can be an LGBTI Christian hater and become just as bigoted as they are if you wish. Your choice!

Well, I dont think anyone can fairly say they are a true follower of christ as far as I can tell because at some stage, no matter how good they try to be they are faced with contradictions in the text from which they must choose.  This leads to some pretty dramatic differences in direction.  You ultimately have to follow a human, and doing so gives them power.  Power corrupts etc.  You end up with a corruption and ->-bleeped-<- like this happens.

The bible is not a clear set of instructions-  I have never met a Christian who sticks to the dietary laws layed out in the old testament or the slave owning rules, or wove the correct quota of fabric to be rated as a good wife.  But then, the christians say that the new testament undid all that... but still count the bits of it when it suits them- in our case the tale of sodom and gomorrah.  This is why you cannot win an argument with a christian- its like presenting a court case where your opponent can pick and choose which evidence you get to use.

But that said, allowing yourself to be merciful, generous, selfless and accepting as christ, and fill in the rest from your own moral compass- well thats just dandy.  I think thats what you implied by true follower right?

If they are truly (as they proclaim) Christians, they should certainly be cognizant of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 Verse 7

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

They never know that there is a time to remain silent, especially when that time comes!

Anyone who calls themselves 'Christian' and hates a group of people is a liar. Hate is not
a part of God and Jesus. People like this trample Christ's name in the ground. They are a
stench in God's nostrils.
