I'm on progynova and spiro ...and when I started to take progynova.....I got constipated....and when I stopped progynova(continue taking spiro),the constipation just went away......
and...I don't know how to describe the....constipation?I'm having bowel movement everyday, but it's just so hard for me to do that without pain because the stool is so hard and dry....regardless of how much water I drink or how much vegetables I eat...
I've tried bananas and honey, drinking over 3L of water per day...But it helps nothing........
I'm wondering is there anyone having the same trouble?Or if I can change the Progynova to Estrofem or just give up oral and use patches to avoid this ???
I have done premarin in the past
And currently estrace today...
And I don't have any bio function issues
Oh and oral also
Ask your doctor if you should be taking your meds orally or sublingually (http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/sublingually)
I have that same problem. I'm going to have to bear it for another month, though. I'm thinking about changing to the shots. I take mine sublingually, but my doc didn't mention swallow or sublingual.
Check with your doctor, there are stool softeners that they can prescribe for you, or just point you to the brand on the drugstore shelf to take. It could be an allergy to some part of the pills too. Check with the MD handling your HRT.
