With my being off hormones i have noticed a difference in the density of my breasts, but not in size or with my nipples. When i do go back on hormones, will i have to go thru that rock hard, every bounce hurts part of the bud stage, or will they just grow from where they are now?
The breast is primarily comprised of adipose tissue (fat) and glandular tissue (lobules and milk ducts). Once you have formed "breast buds" (glandular tissue), they are semi-permanent. However, as your estrogen levels wane, fat that would have maintained your breast shape is no longer preferentially deposited there, and can even be lost.
Just look at the breasts of post-menopausal cisfemales. Saggy, droopy, and smaller, from loss of adipose tissue and the breakdown of connective tissue with age.
