Grettings,
I have been going thru something for the past few years that frightens me and I dont know if anyone else has experienced this.
I first began my hrt when I was 25 yrs old. I was taking estradiol pills and feminized very well after 4yrs and I felt like I was finally where I was supposed to be. I ended up getting myself addicted to stimulants :( and that coupled with loosing my income I had to stop my hormones for 2yrs. I watched as my feminization waisted away. My once plump cheeks and round face turn more sunken and oblong, my once supple breast turn saggier and smaller and I gained fat in mu upper body and stomach. It was horrible! Anyways I got my dr to prescribe me injectables thinking that if I put a higher dose into my body it would re-feminize. Well needless to say after a year and a half I didnt feminize much at all. So I quit the injectables and wet back to pills. I have been on them for only a few months now but it seems like I keep getting more masculine looking. Its to the point where I dont feel right in public. When I look in the mirror I can see the man comming back in my face and body! I dont know what to do. I am going to seek a endocrinologist to see of I have developed some kind of estrogen desensitization or something. Has anyone ever experienced thos or know anything about this. I am desperate and depressed because this!
Thank you everyone
Samantha
Sorry if this is a stupid thing to ask, but are you on any anti-androgens? I didn't notice any mention of them in your post - only estradiol.
I am sorry, I originaly posted this from a phone and i didn't put lots of detail. but yes both Spiro and Fin and just recently I upped my spiro. I don't know maybe I have over stressed my hormone receptors or something. But I don't know if I continue to get more masculine i don't think I can go on. I hope the endo can shed some light.
Edited dosages.
Timeout! Stop and read the rules, or you'll end up breaking another one. Hugs, Devlyn
here is some of the pics through the years I bet you can tell which where before and which were after

I've been reading a bunch on different types of estrogen and the various manufacturers as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. I have not finished that reading. However, there can be differences between the effect of each specific type (which is why there are several types) and the effect of each delivery system (again, that why there are a number of those.) You are on pills. Are they the same brand name that you were on before? Is it the same dosage? Is your diet the same and are you taking them at the same time you did previously? Also, metabolism changes as we get older. Talk to the endo.
As far as frying estrogen receptors, I don't think so. There has been some literature about increases in the number of specific receptors depending upon the specific hormone the body is exposed to. For example, estrogen can cause the proliferation of estrogen receptors. I do not know if the T receptors decrease in number as I'm not done reading about that either and it's complicated as there are different types of both T and E receptors. However, for practical purposes, you may be starting over and not picking up where you left off.

Those pictures just show a gorgeous young woman which I'd be glad to date.
(I should mention that I identify myself as lesbian now.)
You're born '79... thus you're in my age bracket.
Well,
Looked at the pictures. I can't see any pattern. So, to ammend my origional post, you are not starting over. Check what you are taking as compared to before and talk to the endo.
From you pictures, I just wish you were not so much younger than I.
Ill take that as a good thing JLT :) maybe it doesn't show much in the pics but its definitely apparent to me :(:::
On the estradiol, its the same type of estradiol but because i usually get generics they come from different manufacturers..
I definitely have a check list of questions to say the least. Im sorry Devyn for breaking any rules. I forgot about the dosage rule.
I will be more careful

Over what period of time were those photos taken?
More importantly than looking at what and how much you take, have your blood levels checked.
