You may remember me leaving in April as Kathy B when my cup was full, and everything was completely on course. Plus a full-time life was calling, and RLE was planned for July 1, and actually started earlier. But to move to the UP of Michigan for six months I had to leave a large group of transgender friends in California, and even though some of us email and post on Facebook it's still lonely for a transwoman here in the Copper Country. And so I created this new Susan's account. Yeah it's kind of strange to quit the forum then come back, and forgive me for that. This wasn't a snap decision, and I'm not yet sure how long I'll stay around. However, for now there's a need to expand the friends in my cyber-group, and Susan's is a place where I feel welcome. God does that sound needy or what?
Anyway, my update:
Full time since June 9. (happy as hell)
Man clothes gone to Goodwill (that man no longer exists)
Go almost anywhere without harassment or concern for safety. (But still carry pepper spray)
Don't pass very well, but who cares.
Plan court documents for name change in California this November. (Katherine Henna K***i)
Discussing surgery with my doctors and therapist. Planned for Dec 2014 or Jan 2015 when I'm 63.
Still married and we honestly discussed our problems. (Separation by Christmas? - Who knows.)
For two months I've had no response to emails or calls to my older son and his wife. (Sad)
Have monthly telephone sessions with my therapist in Vacaville.
And as always, nothing will stop this transition.
So, Hi again for a few months. Kind of sorry I left too soon, and without thinking about the transgender desert in the Keweenaw.

Welcome back Kathy :) I remember reading a post where some fellow board member was wondering where did You go :) - if that feels important to You :)
Good to see you back, hon! You should never have closed that account! Go see if you can talk some sense into Peky! Hugs, Devlyn
Hey Kathy welcome back! Your brief bio resonates with this girl and I share a lot of your post. Full time, happy, don't worry about passable, married, kids and a senior citizen too.
Yes indeedy your not needy and nothing will stop this transition either. Recognizing our needs for support and sharing is meaningful and healthy. Keep it up girl!

I lost my daughter, too and will not apologize for treating a birth defect.

He offered support in this transition, but I guess he can't deal with the real me. I'll set up a personal visit in November to see my grandson again. Hopefully.
