Because I use my computer for my regular life including trans issues and my lesbian orientation there are adult type searches so I need safe search off
I need to figure out the proper search engine and I cannot find one that will give me appropriate answers
when I use google and I seach for Transsexual all I get is porn sites and dirty pictures and stuff like that, nothing real- there would never even be a way to get directed here
with BING it is only a rehash of google
and Yahoo I can only use with safe search on even when I tell it to turn off and Yahoo tells me it is my providers fault or the fault of my computer or Router which it can't be if google allows safe search off
anyone have a better search engine?
Maybe try firefox with the stumbleupon add on. I tried it yesterday or earlier today and specified transgendered and the first site that came up was a news article. Ok make the first site a cyanide and happiness comic but the second one was about a Tennessee woman not being able to change her gender on her drivers licence so she walked around topless in protest.
Google is the best search engine available. You just have to know how to use it sometimes as there are many results that can pop up depending on phrasing. Unfortunately, writing transgender will get you good and bad results if you don't have a filter on (and sometimes even then). Is there anything in particular you are searching for? It may be better to tailor the search to something more specific. I know for a fact that Susan's comes up a lot in my searches of general trasngender issues as well as other tg related sites.
what I was specifically looking for that day was demisexual
Google sort of filters your searches based on what you looked for in the past. Add words to refine your search. Bing is garbage.
I looked up demisexual and got a wealth of information on it. Mainly blogs and stuff, but I didn't see anything sexual. I wouldn't be surprised that it doesn't come up with susan's because asexuality is not often discussed on this site (as well as other tg sites).

I concur. Bing is garbage.
I've never had a problem using Google. It's literally the only one I use, and I've found this site and lots of other information through it, you just need to know how to use it. Just searching something broad like "transgender" isn't going to work, you need to be more specific.
There's little out there on demisexuals from what I remember from the last time I looked (admittedly pretty half heartedly, I personally couldn't care less about labels). I'm not sure why you've had problems searching for that though, the aven wiki is the first result...

That was sort of my conclusion - there was this encouragement to try it & I try to be an open minded person so I gave it a try to see, visually it worked and it lined stuff up but they did not give me very good search results that I liked
just like I have tried IE & Firefox but I use Chrome
I also gave Thunderbird a try but It kept throwing away my emails (that made me mad)

YOU don't care about labels - but people in society use them and it helps some people - and for me it can help me get a date some day, plus like trans it helps me get my HRT, and like estrogen it helps me figure out which bottle to open when I take the right pill in the morning
and sugar helps me know which ingredient to add when I am baking labels are really useful sometimes

Woah, calm down. I was simply qualifying that what I say about searching for demisexual stuff might not be 100% because when I searched for it, quite a while ago, I didn't put much effort into it. I never implied that labels were pointless to everyone, or to you, only that I
personally don't care for them. There was no attack on you there.

the search was actually to obtain links as a favor for someone was the problem and was profoundly annoyed at my stupid computer the lashing out is an extension of my annoyance of my extended anger at my computer, I am still sitting at the gosh darned thing - sometimes I want to fling the stupid thing out the window and just go live in a forest and give everything up

It has been several days so of course I can't find it any more and I can never work the searches ant any of the forum sites - she had mentioned that she had just never been interested in having a sexual relationship with anyone she had been with yet
she had wondered if she was asexual - I was going to propose the possibility that maybe she had just not met the right person yet and that she was demisexual but I needed something more than just the word to back me up I mean I know what I am talking about but I don't want to sit there typing all day providing links is easier

Well, if she is plain ol' asexual, she will not like the "maybe you just haven't found the right one" line. It gets
extraordinarily irritating.
Demisexuals, however, that is exactly the case. A demisexual is someone who is only sexually attracted to someone they are romantically attached/attracted to.
For googling things, try trying in a full question, like, "What is demisexual?" or urbandictionary also has some pretty accurate terms, sexuality-wise.
Have you tried Ixquick? It's the one I use.
https://www.ixquick.com/ (https://www.ixquick.com/)
That's weird... I googled the same things before and got no weird stuff like that ???
And yeah, I see myself as demisexual myself. As I don't feel sexual attraction to 'any random person' or even a celebrity. I can look through the streets and think "ohh he/she is hot!" sometimes it's a matter of "I wish my body were like his!", but that doesn't fill me with an instant desire to rustle the bedsheets with this person, etc. but I'm not asexual, because I DO feel some sort of a sexual desire, and actually CAN be turned on by things. It just takes a little more than usual. I also hardly have sexual dreams (I do sometimes have them, but they are pretty rare), nor do I masturbate or watch porn. When we happened to end up on this subject (don't ask me how...) a friend of mine looked at me as if he didn't even believe I was telling the truth, LOL!
But anyway, this is offtopic, sorry ::)
Maybe someone snooped onto your computer to watch porn? As then google will think you want to see that, and come up with similar results whenever it can. Deleting your cache might help.

no - she WAS specifically exploring for options, she was asking what may be wrong with me and is there any possible answer so I was going to say, if you are asexual it is perfectly acceptable and ho one should argue but here is another possibility
but the thing is with safe search on - which I could not turn off in Yahoo >:( - I could not find it (what I did was sich to BING temporarily for the last few days YUK!) and I gave her links

neither do I on THAT subject and no one believes that, however, I am actually a lesbian who would prefer to be sexually active which really confuses people, my problem is I prefer other peoples touch., I like real skin to skin.

That is why I use Ixquick, it is the World's most private search engine. :P
Pick whatever search engine you want - your privacy is still out the window. In case anyone isn't aware - whatever site you end up at can see what search terms you used to get to that site. It shows up as referral link and they see exactly what keywords led you to their site in a list on their tracker. Anonymously, of course - but it is recorded in their logs. Also, if you are on another site and click a link to get a different page, that new page will see what link you clicked to get their site.
Also, good chance whatever site you end up at will throw you a google cookie that follows you at least until the end of your browser session. It is pretty much necessary to use the Internet at all. Look at your cookie list right now - there will likely be a huge list there unless you fastidiously keep an eye on it. Google owns doubleclick, which the ad server used by a large portion of the Internet, in addition to their own ad service.
You can turn off cookies completely but then you can't login in anywhere , and it makes doing anything at really cumbersome. I use NoScript and Adblock, and I can't even remember the last time I saw an ad on the Internet when using Firefox. I also clear cookies when I close a browser window.
Even without seeing Google ads (the ad server can still be blocked with NoScript) the cookie ends up there when you use Youtube or end up on a site where you have to turn on some combination of scripts to load the page at all when their developers get tricky and try to display ads to people with blockers. I can't imagine what trying to use the Internet without Google is like. Oh wait - yes I can. 1995 and using Yahoo.
Privacy is gone, folks - I don't mean it in a paranoid way, just an accepting one. I welcome my Google overloads. (just please stop sharing info with the NSA, ok? thanks)

BTW - in the past 3 years I have had 4 true scam attempts over the internet by people I have met through dating sites, I have had 6 fraud charges 6 my bank account and 3 frauds on my Credit card.
How hard do you review YOUR bills?
I have also been physically assaulted. I have had a "friend" steal from me AND a relative steal from me. overall in the past 3 years I have lost about $25,000 to other people and I live close to the federal poverty level.
this is why I live with a paranoid attitude.

Noscript is too much if you ask me. It blacklists all javascript. I don't even know how one can opperate online without enabling javascript. Sure, you can whitelist the sites you trust, but that becomes a major hassle. I think you should exercise caution about the sites you visit and most problems will be avoided. Nonethless, I use Linux (Ubuntu), so I am less likely to face typical security attacks (though, I admit it isn't flawless).

Do not track usually is a farce. It is seen as a request that you would prefer to not be tracked. That doesn't mean that the site won't collect data on you.
From Wikipedia's "Do Not Track" page- "The Do Not Track system is completely voluntary, and there are no legal or technological requirements for its use. As such, websites and advertisers may either honour the request, or completely ignore it.[24] The Digital Advertising Alliance does not require companies to honor DNT signals. "The Council of Better Business Bureaus and the Direct Marketing Association will not sanction or penalize companies or otherwise enforce with respect to DNT signals set on IE10 or other browsers"
I understand how you feel about your security. I was a victim of ID theft (someone stole and used my social when I was 18) and it hurt me bad. I suggest you be very cautious about using your credit card on the internet and only provide it to sites you absolutely trust. For other ones, you can use paypal or purchase a prepaid gift card to do your shopping.
Oh, and have you looked into getting a VPN (Virtual Private Network)? It encrypts all outgoing and incoming traffic.

Buy from amazon. If the seller passes through amazon instead of just posting on amazon, then you can use a gift card-- no extra fees.
You should also bare in mind that unless you're Amish and living in an Amish community, pretty much everything you do is being monitored, especially online. The thing is, the people watching don't really care. I can guarantee that you aren't the weirdest thing they've seen.

is that something I add to my router? and how expensive - how tough is it - I am technophobic plus everything with a computer chip breaks when I touch it. Things like TV's only last 1 year for me, I have gone through 5 smartphones in a year, my laptop only lasted a year and a half
I am the type of person who can break a timex - pretty much as I have said before - if I did not have this medical condition - I would live in a primitive cabin in the woods or n island

I don't know much about credit cards, I don't have one, since I don't have money either. I only suggested amazon since my family, friends, and I use it and haven't had fraud problems.
I don't know much other advice besides "look at the address bar, if it says https, then it is secure, if it says http, then it's not guaranteed secure"

It shouldn't cost you to use paypal, or at least it doesn't in the UK. I wouldn't even know how to go about buying something from eBay without paypal, I tried once and it was impossible to work out a way to pay.

I also needed a replacement battery for my cellphone as the one in it exploded $9 ebay
