Title: Being asked about fatherhood or other sperm related things
Post by: Frank on August 05, 2013, 09:01:07 PM
I just narrowly dodged being questioned in detail about producing sperm (luckily no was accepted but people are nosy) and I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on dealing with being asked about producing children/donating sperm/ect. Just to have an answer filed away if necessary, since I assume most would just stick with really basic answers, would you go with "I'm fixed." or infertility or what?

My first response, "I don't want children."

My next response, "I'm medically unable to have kids."

I'm curious though, what was  the question?

I'm curious though, what was  the question?

"If someone came up and asked you to donate sperm because you were perfect, would you?"

I might, but I can't so I'm tempted to just go with "I'm fixed." but I'm a bit young to be fixed. Which isn't to say it's impossible but how many college guys willingly fixed?

Just refuse on ethical grounds. Say if you had kids you'd want to be a part of their life and can't agree to something like that.

Oh, I see.  I would just say maybe.  It's not like you're lying.  After all the question is would you donate sperm if you were perfect.  Well no one is perfect so there you go.

The correct answer is No. No is pretty much the correct answer for any and all questions. Never explain. Never apologize. This is what my brother tells me. But just say No. At least this has been my experience but I get beat up a lot for being a "->-bleeped-<-" so maybe there is another answer lol well I don't get beat up so much anymore. :P

Yeah, I agree with just saying no or saying no on ethical grounds. It's a really personal question.

I doubt they'd follow up the question by asking you to drop your pants then and there and donate a sample. I'd probably BS some answer; like, "Hell, I've already done it five times because I know I'm perfect.."

Mind you I work in a blue collar environment where nobody seriously asks these questions, but even still, that's a really personal question and it warrants a goofy response.

I'd be cautious about telling people you're "fixed." I know it sounds bad but some people might think you're a sex offender or something.  :-\ just a warning, granted I'm still young and don't have lots of experience in this world.

I would just say, I don't want children or simply no thanks. It's not like they know what is going on downstairs so why say you're sterile? It's nobody's business.

Yeah this question just took me off guard, which is unusual. The person asking is a friend who has a tendency to ask very personal questions but is easily directed to a new topic so it's not like some stranger asked.

Guess I would say that I'm not perfect, and that I don't know, I'd have to think about it for a while.

"Nahh, I don't think so.  Would you?"
Turn it around and put the pressure on them.

I would say: I have a medical condition will stop 99% of people from asking anything else. And if someone is rude and asks what, just say its personal and walk away. I would stay away from the fixed thing being it sounds more like something done to animals.

Everyday can be a great day if you let it.

A friends friend implied that my balls had yet to drop or something after he asked my age because I'm 24 but look like a teenager. I usually lie and say I'm a few years younger but my friend had already implied that I was their age, but she (my friend) knows I'm trans so she did the damage control. Also her son is always climbing on me and often steps on my crotch or hits it in some way and I never know what kind if reaction I'm supposed to have. Like did he hit me hard enough that I should react? I never know.
