Is coming to the US on August 27th for the PS3. (It's also coming to Europe too) For those not familiar with the game, Miku or even Vocaloid I HIGHLY encourage you to look into her/them. ;) Who knows, they might be able to help you through some tough times like Miku has done (And still does) for me. :) Here is a song as well as scenes from the game. The singer is Hatsune Miku.

So how many Vocaloid/Miku fans are there here? :)
EDIT: Guess BBC doesn't show a YT vid here. :/
I admit, I don't have much of a clue who Hatsune Miku is. I first heard of her about two years ago when I was watching a video about tips for going to Anime Expo (I watched this video constantly to the point where I memorize the entire video) and I saw where she was mentioned. Then after watching a video on Youtube called "Cosplay in America Anime Expo 2011" I saw some Hatsune Miku fans get interviewed after a conceret, then saw a news clip about her coming to L.A.
I noticed that there was a demo of the game so I figured why not download it. It took me a while to get good at the songs but eventually I got better (I figured out I was trying to to too much and always failed the mission lol) I figured this game isn't for me but after playing it some more and playing it with my 5 year old nephew (by play I mean give him a ps2 controller and let him pretend he's doing something) I'm really interested in the game now. However, for me, $50 for the game is a little bit on the high side. If I do get the game, then I will probably wait for a price drop to $20. I thought this was coming out some time around Christmas. Either I saw that wrong or they moved the date up.
Giddy uncontrollable hysterical joy bouncing up and down incoherent bliss.
I've dabbled with the vocaloid program but I still can't see what the fuss is about. It is a really neat program though. There are other anime-style characters who elicit more excitement. I'm not saying Miku is bad, she is just not really on my radar so to speak.
The program you can keep, I like listening to her concerts (I have 4 so far). Very positive upbeat happy sounding tunes.
As for her voice, well when you compare it to a lot of organic singers, well she doesn't sing any worse than plenty out there eh.
It's not till you compare her to Enya or Celine that it really matters.
The only song of.....errr... her's, is "two-faced lovers", because it is so fast and sounds uniquely synthetic, like skipping through an audio CD. I like Genki Rockets much more because the show they put on si similar, with a virtual idol singing, but there is more visual effects on stage like Lumi's dress changing color, sparkles shooting around her, etc.
Miku has countless songs. Her music really reaches people with the lyrics to her songs as well as the vid itself, that and she's so cute and beautiful and really, it's hard to explain in words what makes Miku so great. Not sure if words can really describe what makes Miku so great. And for the US it's the date I said but I don't know about Europe's date. I did hear Europe will only get a digital version though I'm pretty sure the US is getting a physical copy of the game.
