Title: Nerve damage from bra
Post by: Breastquest on August 07, 2013, 11:29:32 AM
I'm living in hell at the moment with no relief in sight. It appears that wearing ill fitted bras has damaged some nerves in my shoulder, I can no longer wear support of any kind, not even a very loose cami bra. If I wear anything, I start having issues right away, head aches, blood pressure seems out of whack etc. My entire right arm is numb as is my right hand. I don't know what to do. The doctor at the VA hospital gave my some steroids and muscle relaxers but them seem to be doing no good. I have a tightness in my jaw muscles that seems to linger and linger.
My breasts could use a little support, this is maddening!
Anyone know what I can do to get some relief?

What about a strapless bra?

That doesn't sound like a bra strap issue.

I can't wear anything around my torso where the bra band rides or any straps on my shoulders. Hell I tell you.

Doesn't really sound like a bra issue to me either. When I wear bras the straps usually hit my shoulders right where the bony part and the softer muscle part meet. I have had pulled muscles in by back that have tightened down on a nerve and caused some of the same symptoms that you describe. The funny thing is that when they happen its from moving the wrong way and I feel it and on more than one occasion I don't feel anything until a few hours later. Could also be a disk in your back too. Did they check for that? Really though it sounds more like a severely pulled muscle.

A good chiropractor can do wonders.  The problem is finding a good chiropractor.

This is not from wearing a bra unless the straps are made of steel. That being said did you have your boobs done as most trans woman rarely get big enough boobs that they would HAVE to wear a bra. I can go braless easy and I am fairly well developed, especially for my small frame. The only reason I wear a bra is because they make my boobs look bigger and better. And bigger is always better.

Perhaps a halter top of some sort might work.
