Dear friends,
I am really lost and I feel so sad. I ordered my 60th pair of shoes in this year:

As male I did not cared so much about fashion and shoes. But now I am really a fashion victim. I already bought more cloths than I could wear. I love to go shopping, to try out new cloths and especially I am really lost regarding shoes. I love high-heels and I wear them. Currently 8hr in 10cm heels are okay. I still work on it 8)
I really have to calm down and buy less cloths and shoes. Does anyone has an idea how I could stop shopping? My counsellor is not a big help because she said that is quite normal after my coming out. I do not make debts for shopping, I just spend more of my income than I want to. I really want to spend less money for shopping. I already spend a lot of money for my hair transplantation and I started to save money for my FFS, the SRS is covered by me health insurance and all hormons, speech training and so on.
Hugs and kisses
Lara
Are you hurting yourself financially and does it make you happy? If not shop away or maybe shop at cheaper stores then you can have both >:-)
My problem is it makes me extremly happy. I LOVE SHOPPING! But I think it would be better to save more money.

Saving your money for what? Something that will make you happier than shopping? If not then why change it? If yes, then it could be considered an addiction as it is affecting your life negatively. Maybe you're missing something and filling the void with shopping? If so, its not going to get better on its own.
or, maybe you just like shopping.
Good luck.
I would say set yourself a budget each month, that includes some shopping, but not an excessive amount.
BTW, I love those boots. I recently bought myself some Enzo Angiolini riding boots:

Nice shoes, must have for this fall and winter seanson. I have to put riding boots on my shopping list!

Oh no! I fed the beast!!
It almost seems like its a prerequisite to being a woman is to like horses. Am I the only one that doesn't?

Haha :D are you a woman? (just because your profile doesn't really say you are!) i don't know if it's a 'girl thing' or not... but riding a horse is one of the most wonderful feelins in the world! nothing compares to the feeling~ have you ever ridden a horse? maybe you need to try it to see what the fuss is about ^_^
I am a woman, the reason I don't claim to be on my profile here I explained in another thread here (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,147300.msg1214353.html#msg1214353). I have tried horse back riding several times, not by choice, and thoroughly did not enjoy it.
P.S. Sorry, I'm really good at going off topic.
*sigh* this is exactly why I don't bother claiming to be female here. I know you don't mean any harm by it and I'm not going to say any more than this, being a woman isn't about the way you look. I think I made the right choice in removing the F marker, this is too much for me. Forget I said it.
The rhythmic nature of western or bareback horseback riding is supposed to give the natal female a degree of sexual arousal due to the motion on the clitoris. That's why "proper" women formerly rode sidesaddle.
In my case, it cut off the blood supply and gave me numbnuts.
It seems I should start with riding after I had my SRS. But first I will buy some nice riding boots 8)
