Title: Binder advice?
Post by: Adrian G. on August 28, 2013, 11:03:04 PM
I'm looking to get a second binder. I already have a tri-top and it works fairly well, but it's an awkward length for me and rolls up a lot and get really uncomfortable, so I'm looking to get a longer one. I'm really short, 4'9", and my bra size is a 36D, so pretty large...

I'm trying to decide between the 997 and the 988 at Underworks. I've seen a lot of comments about the 997, and it seems pretty good, but I was wondering if anyone has tried the 988? The only difference seems to be that the 988 has less compression in the stomach area, which would seem to help with the reports of stomach cramps I've seen from the 997. But I'd like to know how well it actually works before I buy it. Any advice?

I can't say much about the 988, but I would say that if you can avoid the stomach cramps from the 997 then do it. Having that extra length can probably stop the roll up without giving you weird stomach compression. The stomach compression was the whole reason I switched from the 997 to the Tri-Top.

Thanks. :) I'm actually so short the Tri-top covers about 3/4 of my stomach and it did give me some cramps at first, but I've since gotten used to it and they've stopped. I'm just not sure how much of a problem it will be with the longer ones. The main problem is the rolling.
