Erika Keels lost her life on March 22nd after someone pushed the trans woman from their car, backed up and proceeded to run her down four times. Horrified witnesses reported the incident to the Philadelphia police. Though police identified the alleged perpetrator, they've done nothing to seek justice, according to Philadelphia's KYW Radio News.
What's more, the department declared Keels' killing an "accident". When Keels' trans comrades raised the issue, police turned their backs.

Surley there is more to this story?? It does not make sense.
Trans murders are often extremely violent beyond what it would need to kill someone. Check out the documents at GenderPAC like http://www.gpac.org/50under30/50u30.pdf which tells how many were killed. And it also shows the inequality when prosecuting the criminals/killers and lack of police/law enforcement help.
They have to keep the heat on the police and the justice system. No deserves what Ericka got. Not to prosecute the perpetrator is even a grosser injustice.

It's not just trans-folk suffering that fate, but all of the people under the GLBT umbrella. The level of violence in these crimes is bizarrely overdone. It amounts more to abuse of a corpse!
The people that commit these crimes are so enraged, that they continue to abuse and deface the body long after the person is dead. It's patholgical to the highest degree, and reveals a certain measure of both fear and projection. A dreaded fear of their own feelings that explodes as hate. And it is all around us.
And then 'they' wonder why 'we' would ever want a hate crimes bill to help protect us!
Of course 'he' is going to veto it.

I've been trying to explain this type of crime to straight people and they insist that a killing is a killing, so why do I insist on saying there is a problem or issue that they don't see?
It takes a fatheaded baboon butt faced weasel to veto a bill that helps people who suffer this type of atrocity.
