Title: Beginner... lots of questions
Post by: KabitTarah on August 31, 2013, 06:50:47 AM
I have a lot of questions in starting voice training. I have previous cis voice training (singing), so I feel that I will mostly need work in inflection and especially consistency.

What are the starting points for this? Is there software available, free resources, or other resources I should be looking into? I have a decent (not awesome) logitech USB microphone (I really want this one: http://amzn.com/B002OO333Q (http://amzn.com/B002OO333Q)).

I'm also very interested in developing a female singing voice. I'm a huge fan of Lorde right now, and I think I could easily develop something in that range (I can sing to Royals with no falsetto). Are there any resources on this, or should I just start collecting good, low voiced, female artist MP3s? (I started a thread on that over in Entertainment > Music)

I had a good one last night, though. I started reading a book to my son, and put the narrator into a female voice. My son said I sounded like Lucy (i.e. my voice for Lucy in the Narnia books). I know he's comparing me to me, but it was still great! I think I know where my voice should be... it's more a matter of practice.
