Title: Shoulders and hands
Post by: Ms. Fashion Bell on September 01, 2013, 04:56:35 PM
Hey everyone,

So for a woman of any kind, I have broad shoulders and big hands.  I know that HRT won't drastically change how they have already grown, but I was wondering if there might be a small change? I know that our cells are constantly dying and new cells are being made, so that gives me some hope that my shoulders and hands could shrink SOME.

If anyone that is reading this that has had the same worries, but actually been through HRT, would the growing of breasts and hips help to make the shoulders look smaller? And do the arms and wrists gain fat as well? I feel like that would help make my hands look a little smaller. I hope so, because I love nail polish too much to not use it!!

Thanks, ladies!!

I'm not on HRT yet so I can't speak from experience, but it's my understanding that your bone structure won't change after hormones and it's the bones that make your shoulders broad and hands big. As far as changes in fat in the arms and wrists I've never heard of that but it's entirely possible. Growth of breasts and the accumulation of fat in the hips would probably help out with making your shoulders look a bit smaller.

I think the real secret is being confident cisgirls can have the same issues and that doesn't stop them from painting their nails.
