Title: genderqueer relationship labeling?
Post by: AmberSkyeArisen on September 05, 2013, 04:12:37 PM
I'm genderqueer/ genderfluid, leaning female most of the time, but I still identify as both (born male, on hormones to get to androgynous/ female). I started dating someone recently who's 99.9% lesbian basically, she's very queer. Last night she asked if it's considered a lesbian or straight relationship. I told her i'm not worried about labeling it, because I have no idea.

Anyone know the proper word?

I'm not talking about pansexual. A person is pansexual. A relationship is not. You can't have a bisexual relationship.

Yes beautiful sounds good.

In my eyes you can have a bisexual relationship or a pansexual relationship.  Someone else could just as easily say you can't be male and female its either one or the other.  Right?  But obviously you have a specific answer you're looking for and seem to be bothered by my answer so I'm sorry for intruding on your thread.

Don't worry about labels. I'm in a similar situation actually. My gf (soon to be wife) is a butch lesbian and I'm a non binary transguy who lives as male but feels somewhere in between genders mentally. To the world we look like a vanilla heterosexual couple. To ourselves we're just us, just in love, and happy. Does that need a label?  :)

I shall combine the idea of beautiful and queer. I like that. I'm not used to the "queer" label, I rarely ever hear it, but it does accurately describe it.

And Alice, you're not intruding, I just don't agree with your opinion
