I am not officially out at work but most people I work with know that I am TS. I have not been hiding anything and there are three other transsexuals working for my company. The other day I want to our main office in to ask about a different shift and the women in charge of this asked me if I would be keeping my name (I hadn't told her about my being TS). I told her no that I would be changing my name to Emily. So far the people in and out of work (not counting family) that I have talked to about my transition seem to just accept it.
Cool, hope that it all goes well. :)

That's great Emily!
Did the other TSs transition while working for your company? If so, did they have any problems?
~Kate~
That is great news Emily. You should have peace of mind.
When I came out a memo was sent out remind them of diversity, and to treat me with respect. I was pretty much in a guy world at my job. All of them were nice and as I progressed they accepted me even more as a female.
You will be OK

Last week I took another step in coming out at work and told my supervisor about my new name. He had heard roomers about this and was not surprised. Several minutes latter I was looking at schedule with the name Emily on it. He suggested that I send out an email to the other people that I work with and I did that several hours later.
Emily,
Sounds like the people at work aren't only behind you and supporting you, but are actively encouraging you to go "full time" ;) !
How did people react to that e-mail ? I'm sure all the responses were wonderful !
My own e-mail and responses from colleagues at our main complex (told everyone in our local satellite office "face to face") ....
