My mother usually kept me in a 'smock' until I turned around 2 yrs old.
She also refused to cut my curly blonde hair until it was almost shoulder length.

I find it really ironic that the article at the bottom called those names ones that "morphed from blue to pink." Because pink actually used to be a boys' color also. Because pink was a derivative of red, people believed that it was a stronger color, whereas blue was seen as more feminine because it was the color of the virgin Mary. It wasn't until about the 1940's that our modern mass-marketing culture decided for us that pink was feminine and blue was masculine.

Really, Adison is a girl's name now? I've only ever met one person with that name and they were a boy. Ad yes, a boy-- I think he's abou graduating high school now.
Kelly used to be a more male name too.
i already know four boys with the same name as me, and only one girl. wonder what gender it really belonged to in the first place (sorry you wouldnt know, its a name from my native language)
