Title: It Is Begun...Almost
Post by: JaneNicole2013 on September 16, 2013, 01:16:38 PM
Had my apt with the Endo today who prescribed a low dosage of estrogen and TWO T-blockers: Spiro and Finasteride. Any idea why he would have prescribed both? I know, I should have asked, but I just couldn't take my eyes off of him writing the prescription and it didn't dawn on me to ask until I was walking out of the pharmacy. He did make a comment about my facial hair (I walked into the office with three days worth of stubble), so I wonder if one is better at combatting hair growth?

I haven't taken any yet. Waiting until my g/f gets off work so she can be with me.

Jane

PS. I hope this posting didn't violate any guidelines. I read them over before posting and think I'm good.

I am on the same meds.
Spiro is a anti androgen. Finasteride inhibits DHT conversion and is good for the hair on your head and helps reduce MPB.

Congratulations :)

I feel absolutely wonderful, finally.

Congratulations Jane,

I think you are going to feel great and trust you will want to share your HRT experiences with us.  Nice of you to want to share such a special new beginning with your GF.

Hair is an ongoing concern for many of us and I hope your meds reduce the hair you dislike and promote the ones you love.
