I took the following photo at a nearby beach here. The lights are from fishing boats, and my little daughter is in the lower left side.

Wow. The landscapes look so gorgeous, reminding me of northern Europe. You live in Italy or other northern EU country?
A landscape of my home town a few days ago.

There are a lot of wind-power plants here.

Hi ,
The landscapes are from Italy and France . Basically I don't 'live' somewhere now , I work(ed) as a truck driver (16 more days and I am done :D) , going in different countries and I got some pictures when I could. I saw a lot of beautiful places , and I love taking pictures but unfortunately , most of the time I couldn't stop .
I love your pictures , we have lots of wind power plants in Europe too , many in the northern countries exposed to powerfull and prolonged winds .
Last July, I visited northern Italy via Slovenia. There were a lot of high mountains, making wonder whether people climb the top of the mountain. Here in my country, people climb the top of every mountain.

Wow , that is very courageous . I am very afraid of heights . I like hiking on hills but definitely not rock climbing .
I was trying to go as high as I could on this mountain , for picture purposes , but that is about as high as I got , after I passed the tree line and I started to see how high I was I got real scared :P

Here we do not need climbing tools, as there are always hiking paths to the top of every mountain. The problem is that every mountain is crowded with too many people.
I used to climb mountains while holding my little daughter in my arms.

Thursday I finally did what I wanted to do for a few years is to go to Toronto downtown via the commuter train enfemme to take pics of one of my interests is historic old railway trains. I have a new digital slr camera, Canon EOS Rebel. This is like a huge square, lots of public space among several venues. From the first pic to last the views will be to the south, west, north & ne.
This is a preserved roundhouse, several businesses & a micro brewery.

I haven't posted much because my journey of transition ended before it got started a year ago due to problems with the risks of hrt. So no experience to pass on in that regard. I still get to dress up & push myself out in the world and be Happy as my Gender Doc & Endo concurred.

Way to go Jamie, attitude is 99% the rest just takes a little forward momentum to get out the door!
Shan, you are so right babe. Especially when you chart your course all by yourself. Mostly a passing face in the crowd, nice having a few appreciative looks, & maybe only an uncertain look from a couple even though I was about 60 feet from them, I didn't care about them...the outing was all good. Thanks Shan.
Cheers

Long time no see. Glad to see some photos from you, Jamie. It should be chillier in Toronto.
Nowadays I think about my appearance when I become 60s or 70s. Without HRT, can I enjoy dressing en femme? I am not quite sure, but I wear skirts nearly everyday.

Barbie, aww, thank you, nice to be appreciated. I haven't been that active here for quite a while, a lot going on, but probably have more time to post now. In May I finally bought a digital slr camera, a Canon EOS Rebel, & working on being more active taking pics. I love photography.
Weather this week is going to be quite cooler than normal which is about 22 C, temps are going to be between 12 & 17 C.
I am a skinny 5' & wish I could have your tall figure. You have nice skin, hun, not to worry, you are still going to enjoy being feminine you well into your Golden years, retired do the things you always wanted to do. I love wearing dresses & skirts.
We like seeing pics of Beautiful you out in the world.

This is for halloween. It was actually taken on a trip with my kids' class to a local farm that has a pumpkin patch setup.

Thank you.
This summer we went on a bunch of trips all over the place. One of the places we went to was the Cass Scenic Railroad in West Virginia. This train wasn't the one we were on. This one was going further up the mountain. These are preserved historic logging railroads that now carry tourists. You can rent a caboose up in the woods or an old restored company house. It's quite an adventure off the beaten path.
We also toured the NRAO Green Bank Telescope. I'm a radio and astronomy geek so this was the highlight of the trip.

Friday night I was at a friends place talking about things we've never done thats on our bucketlists, (I mean talking about crap really)
Both of us said watching the sun rise over the 12 Apostles (in Victoria) was one, so after 2 drinks each (and a detour past my place) we jumped in the car and got there at 5am, had an hours sleep in my car and walked down Gipson Steps and I got this at sunrise.
Not a lot of editing, I used a big stopper (10-stop filter) and a purple grad.
Was it worth it? I sent it to get printed today which is something I don't do often.

Yes you should. I was there middle to late May, right after most of the roads were finally opened. It wasn't very crowded and I was able to drive all across the park without getting into any traffic jams. I heard some people saying that during the summer it was almost impossible to find places to park and the traffic was bad.
It is truly one of the most remarkable places on earth!

I will also get one charm for letter 'M' and one with two heards.

These are a couple pictures I had taken while wandering around at an abandoned cemetery nearby. There is a road that runs right through the middle of it, so that is why there are tombstones piled on top of each other.
I'm a bit intimidated by the skill here. Do note most of these images are from my Photography Classes back in 2012 and currently I just don't pursue it as a career at this time.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer to the best of my capabilities and/or knowledge in a concise amount of time when I am available! ^^

I use to live in a rural town until I get dragged to a semi town/rural area. It doesn't feel like a town because it's just a straight way from the highway. It's still a town, but it really doesn't feel like one things are very spread out on the highway and rarely feel close-knit to each other. Currently I live in an apartment complex I might see if I can find some of the older photos.

Yeah, I live in a very rural area. Quite literally the talk of the town right now is how good the corn crops look. I think the most "urban" thing in the town is the fact that we have a stoplight. Not only is it rural but there isn't even any interesting hills or rivers nearby. It kind of sucks.
I'm working on a way to carry my camera attached to my tripod so it is available for instant use. I tend to use one of two lenses when I am out and about 50-300mm and a 60mm micro I use for close up stuff. I was going to sling one off my walking belt in a bag and I want a sling around the tripod and camera so I can have that over my neck and shoulder ready for use.
Any ideas?
When ever possible, I shoot hand held existing light I find tripods get in the way and when shooting people I like the natural look of people when you get that candid picture. Not to say I don't use a tripod when I need it. The first picture was a 10 second exposure of the blood moon and I happened to take the picture while a jet was on approach to Sky Harbor Airport. The second was the next night. Both pictures used a 500mm zoom lens which isn't the best quality but it's far cheaper than the lens I really want.

Is this the lens you want?

Not to be used by hand, I can hardly pick it up. Notice the tripod supports the lens, the camera bolts on; the tripod weighs a tonne as well. It does great close ups of things a long way away! He has some lovely pics from this.
I prefer the close ups and the tripod becomes critical. I had a nice time with this young ant emerging into the world, I took about 200 shots but never got the one that was good. But that is what I like doing.

This was using the 60mm micro.
I like taking pictures of my main hobby which is my aquarium. I have a 75 gal tank I set up about six weeks ago to replace a previous aquarium that sprung a leak one night and made quite a mess. I don't have any expensive camera equipment so these are with my iPhone. The first pic is one of my newer angelfish that while appearing quite peaceful is the most aggressive fish in the tank. The second pic is a ram cichlid that likes hanging out near the bottom. I have a variety of other fish in there two including two clown loaches that I've had now for nearly five years. They are getting pretty big, around four inches long and fat bodied.

But a few months ago I discovered an interesting technique for capturing light rays. I've been taking a lot of photos of different patterns. Got a big drive full of RAW files that I want to edit, make look nice and then upload one day but don't have the time right now.
But here's some samples:

The cool thing is they are all as the eye sees them. Didn't edit them or use any fancy camera trick. it's just a neat little thing I stumbled across with light and grew a passion to start photographing interesting designs.
At another barley field just ago today.
