I was in town today to meet my mum for coffee. After witch we wandered to a toy shop in the shopping centre, too look at things for my neices what with the C word coming up.
Well although my mum has never been particularly against my transition, i had the impression that she still didnt understand the non binary nature of gender. But in the toy shop she exclaimed that she was absolutley disscusted at the fact that they had painted the shop in sections denoting boys toys and girls toys. The usual blue and pink. and went on to say that this sort of thing causes more problems and that children should play with whatever toys they wanted, not just ones specifically designed for boys or girls. I was so proud :angel: :angel:
