Title: Orchitis?
Post by: Emmaline on September 28, 2013, 04:15:15 PM
About three years ago, well before I knew I was transgender, I started getting severe pains in my testes.  Wow... even typing 'my' made me cringe... anyway, after a great deal of money on specialists I was diagnosed as having non-specific orchitis, which the specialist gleefully pointed out is doctor speak for 'we dont know'.

I was told to take painkillers and it would go away after a few months.  It didnt but after a year It would only hurt on long car trips or when I was very stressed or over tired.  Its so bad I am considering an orchi early in my transition as a neat solution to this (and not having to have antiandrogens or... you know... balls- which is a little disturbing for a girl as you know).

It struck me that, as I was in deep denial, perhaps it could be a psychosomatic condition?  Then it struck me when someone said that low energy may be caused by the female brain not being set up to regulate a male body very well, that others may have suffered the same condition.

   So girls?  Sore balls anyone?

I once had one with the tubes all twisted somehow and the doctor had to un-twist it.  That was a fun event.  Other than that there was the realization in college that "blue balls" was a real and very uncomfortable condition.  That very much reinforced the notion of my body being incongruent with my outlook on sex.  The male body punishes it's owner if release isn't achieved.  I haven't really ever had any innate hatred for the testicles though, so I guess I wouldn't be in a state of mind that would result in any physical pain.

Ive actually dealt with the same issue my whole life :/ lately I've been kinda worried that it could be cancer... good to know it could be something else. Have a doctor's appointment soon.

All my life and thought it was just a thing. Comes and goes in spurts and leaves me wincing in pain. The first time it happened to me was in kindergarden. Happened once in a swimming pool and I thought I was going to drown but was too embarrassed to call out for help.

I'll have to look into this now.

I have never heard of such a condition. Sounds like to me it would be a good way to have an orchiectomy covered by insurance as a medical necessity.

That's what I'm thinking ;) but honestly I've been worried about it, I've talked to some people I know and they all suggested getting checked for cancer :/

Yeah I can't wait to get rid of them, no matter the reason. Life will be easier without them by far :)

Kill two stones with one bird.   ::)

Great idea about insurance.  I will have to check that after I finish sperms banking.

Yeah, dealt with it about ten years ago and wrote a commentary on the procedure step by step and how simple it was. PM me if you are interested in a copy of "My Procedure."
