Hi,
My name is LBoy and I'm interested in hearing from other GQ folks who are or who have had top surgery, but are not going to fully transition. I am currently in that situation and hoping to have surgery in April to correct my chest that has been wrong since puberty (almost 40 years). Looking forward to hearing from you.
i'm only planning to do that in the future. i don't think i'll fully transition, though i am hoping to get hrt if i can just get in touch with the right doctor, and see if that can help me with some things that top surgery can't help me with. if i can just get in touch with the right doctor. there are way too few of them in norway.
You might check out Micah's blog at http://neutrois.me. He fully transitioned, but still identifies as neutrois and I think he managed to get his surgeries from doctors who acknowledge the existence of nonbinary people. I don't remember whether he went to a gender therapist or not but I want to say that he found surgeons who went by informed consent rather than by a formal diagnosis? You'd have to go check out the archives because I might be wrong.
I had my surgery together with a few other ftms. it turned out one of them where kinda identifying queer/gender neutral.
he had most surgery and homones exept for the penis part so I just thought he was a casual ftm.
Hi, LBoy. I am not FTM and I am getting surgery with Garramone in 6 days!
I am 43 years old and I have always identified as transgendered, but not transsexual (FTM). I do not like the words genderqueer, genderfluid, and that grouping for myself. They just don't fit. I tend to prefer FTM space, rather than GQ/Andro spaces. I see myself as more male than female, but transitioning with hormones does not fit for me.
You may want to check out that link Lo posted. I just found that site myself.
I am assuming you are new here. Welcome to the board, I just got here myself.
