Title: My first pair of women's running shoes
Post by: MugwortPsychonaut on September 29, 2013, 08:29:42 PM
I went down to the discount shoe store yesterday to score some cute running shoes. I got to the store and looked through the women's size 11 section. The lady asked if I needed help, and I told her my situation. I said something like, "I'm at a point in my life where I'm switching over, and I want to pick up a pair of women's running shoes. I've been wearing Reebok Classics. As a guy, they're great, but as a girl, they're just not happening."

I found these Champion sneaks. The lady told me if I'm a size 9.5 in men's, then I should wear a size 12 in women's. These elevens fit just fine. They fit great! They're really cute, for running shoes, anyway. They're black with purple accents and not too much extraneous design going on. I'm really happy with them and wore them for the walk home!

I've been wearing a pair of white and pink Danskins all summer, usually in guy mode and getting funny looks!

I used to wear sparkly pink/orange/white runners in guy mode and don't remember anything but positive comments about them.

Generally, you add 1.5 to 2 sizes to the men's number to get a women size, but it also depends on the width and the style of shoe.
