Title: Abbreviations
Post by: candie on June 23, 2007, 12:20:02 PM
It's not exactly like this is my first time wondering around this site, I've been doing it for a little bit now, but at frist I though I was getting an idea of what all of the abbreviations meant. How SO, means significant other, and TS means transexual, TG- Transgender, But I'm noticing as of late there are others I'm not aware of the meaning ... or what they stand for.

I know its kind of a broad request, but I really want to be able to know what is being talked about or discussed, otherwise I just feel like I'm missing something.

If anyone would mind offering some of the common abbreviations, and their meanings, I would greatly appreciate it, as would I'm sure anyone who's new or relatively new to the community.

GRS I've also seen referred to as Genital Reassignment Surgery.

there's also Cisgendered which is more or less loosely the opposite of transgendered (born with your sex and gender matching) .. not sure if that one has an acronym.. CG? hehehe
