A girl told me the dilating time is 3 times per day and 1 HOUR EACH?!!! :o Is that for real?
How much exactly is the dilating time per day?
Is it possible to leave it just there deep inside overnight? And leave the smaller one inside in daytime to due daily activities?
I also don't understand why many say they lose depth in airplanes. Can't they dilate in airplanes or what?
This is another thing where you have to ask your surgeon, I think. Brassard's schedule is 4x a day for 20 minutes for the first month, then 3X a day for 30 minutes for two months, then 2X a day for 30 minutes for three months, then 20 minutes once a day for six months, then taper down to 15 minutes once a week for life.
In other words, the absolute worst case with Brassard's recommendation is either 90 minutes total per day (months 2 and 3) or 4X per day (first month). Of course, that's the total time the dilator is supposed to be inside - I guess I'm lucky, because it takes me no time to reach full depth and about ~5 minutes to set up/clean up, so I don't consider those to add much time at all to the sessions.
Ditto for keeping a dilator inside; I admit, I think if that were a good idea, at least *one* surgeon would recommend it. Personally, I'd be worried about infection (the dilators are supposed to be sterilized after each use, after all) and that early on the healing tissue might heal *around* the dilator and make it difficult/painful/damaging to remove.

Just the thought of the OMG (orange monster guage) inside for that long. Not in this life time.
Also how many have coughed and almost made it a missle across the room.
Anyway not sure why anyone would want to do this. Not a good idea.
Kegel balls or eggs could be a idea if you want something to fill the void. "no pun intended"
Not to forget a real size partner is worth one dilation session. Also could be the answer once things are all healed up.

Just an fyi- I have dilated while taking a shower, and shaving my legs at the same time... no its not fun, but possible and lets not get into why I did this lol, I have also felt asleep dilating a couple times, and yes I had mr orange in.... :icon_confused2:
My mint green friend will not even stay in if I do not hold it there with some good pressure. I was reaching for a wash cloth to wipe up some extra goo today and I did not have to cough or sneeze (I have done both with the above results) and it wanted out on its own. I was not told to use the Monster Orange and did not get him in my discharge kit (wahh) but as loose as the green one is, I am not worried. It has gotten to be fun if I want to play with it a bit, or its just a part of getting up if I do not have time or desire for the fun. I only lost depth by about a centimeter for a few days when I graduated from the purple to the blue to the green. At 8 months I have the same as I did the day the packing came out. You would have to use some type of harness device to keep on in overnight, and you could do damage that way.
Variance between surgeons, my first dilations were 3 per day for 15 minutes insertion time, with action as you progressed (I was reminded of the song "Twist & Shout"). Two weeks each from the smallest (purple) then blue and at last the green one which is now and forever for me. At 3 months I was down to two a day for 15 minutes insertion time each. At 6 months once a day for the 15 minutes. You can miss a dilation every now and then with no real damage, but more than two misses and you could have tight times for a bit. BUT there are some surgeons who taper it off to once a week, and intercourse counts as a dilation. What have I said that the others haven't???
