There's nothing like some good news and positivity sometimes...
According to my countdown timer, there's roughly 1750 hours to go until the end of the year. And I kinda can't wait!!!. Mostly due to work, I will be going full-time come 1st Jan, although will try to sneak it in a bit earlier after considering how quiet work is/isn't in the Xmas period. Either way, I'm looking forward to starting the new year without ever having the use the old identity ever again.
On top of this, there's a bunch of things that just keep me smiling:
- Legally changing my name before the end of the year
- Getting a female photo and my chosen name on my drivers license
- My beautiful and loving friends and family who support me through all of this
- My body in changing all it has, and continues to, to be the woman I've always been inside
- Feeling free to be myself in public, and a fair inability to pass for male any more
- Support and help from the many men and women at Susans, as well as my therapists
What keeps you smiling?
As in never feeling so good? No matter the mean and bullying around us, we keep on feeling so much love for our real selves and one another ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
What keeps me smiling?
Well Susan's has a lot of people that in addition to being very good people are also a wealth of experience and good information.
My life has been defined by 'information' and thus, I do get a lot of worth out of the input.
Plus, and I have mentioned her before, my friend Sierra, well damn it she looks good. I can see all of my cis female friends envying here even. So new to her journey, and yet, damn she looks good. I mean GOOD, not the sort of good we offer as pats on the back, but seriously attractive.
She's someone I really enjoy gracing my Facebook, as she is a beacon of hope. I have seen her journey, and I know what she had to work with in the beginning.
There's a lot to be said for good solid evidence.
