I have always known that I was different, ever since preschool. I am slowly coming to terms with how I identify myself and no longer get angered when taken for a female. I look back on my life and realize it is something I have always wanted, just to be accepted. From a young age, I have told people whom I was growing up with that yes, I was indeed female, as they continually asked. I am looking for a safe place to express my self and my problems. I am still unsure if I am transsexual and I hope everyone here will help me open up.
Hi Sally, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 8177 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-3.gif&hash=f49e2f86761323f2abd9c33941920389dbb3b10f)

Welcome to the site, hon.
We try to make it as safe a place as possible for you to explore yourself, your feelings, discover who you are, connect with likeminded people and draw from their insight and experiences.
It's okay to be unsure. It's okay to question. Take all the time you need to find yourself. *hugs* Come on in and make yourself at home. You're among friends now. :)
Thanks you guys, it means a lot, especially since other forums have not been so kind. (:
I have just read many of the links you have given me Ms. OBrien, and it has helped me a great deal! Still unsure of some terms. I feel unhappy with gender roles more than my gender. I do not believe I will want surgery, but it makes my happy that you would refer to me as a sister. (:
Welcome to Susan's!
This is not only a forum, this is also a family :) Everyone here is absolutely wonderful and take everyone in with open arms. I hope you will enjoy yourself here while you go through your journey.

Welcome, Sally!
I can't express just how helpful this site has been. Take your time, there is no hurry for you to decide anything. And anything you decide is right because it's right for you. I know, kinda corny, but that's apparently how I'm rolling tonight. :) Ask as many questions as you feel comfortable, we're all here to help, not judge. You're family now, little sister. ::hugs::
Dalex will beat up anyone who's mean to you. No bullying of the newbs allowed. ;)

Thanks, everyone has been very supportive so far! Other forums are quick to judge me and the age restrictions and limits did not help either.
Welcome baby! We have a strong family tree here. Good solid roots, sturdy branches and a few nuts. *giggles* Seriously, you will find this family will make you lose track of time real easy. I rarely go to any other sites on the net anymore. I love it here and you can find anything from girl talk, education and tons of fun. You have joined a family that honestly cares and wants to see you succeed. Welcome again little sister! BIG HUG!! :)
I find it kind of unusual that this is one site where arguments and simple disagreements happen, and no matter how wild, you are still accepted as the person you are.
That is not to say that only argumentative things happen, most here have a wonderful sense of humor. Some even quite a wild one. Many threads share so much information for you to use as you need.
Welcome to the best place I've ever known for friendship.
Hi and welcome to Susan's!
I'm sure you'll find excellent information and excellent friends to talk to here.
You haven't just joined a site, but you have joined a family.
Hi, Sally. :icon_wave:
I know what you mean. I checked out other forums too that weren't all that pleasant. Susan's is unique as it has the most amazing, caring, helpful, supportive, loving, knowledgeable, accepting and all around best human beings in this entire universe. No joke. The people here are simply incredible. :) And guess what? You're part of the family now!
Welcome!

Hi Sally, welcome to Susan's! :)

Lay down, Sally! (I have always wanted to use that greeting!)
Transsexual is just one identity under the transgender umbrella. Come visit us on the Androgyne Talk board. I'll be looking for you. :)
