Title: What would you buy?
Post by: jordanharn on October 31, 2013, 12:38:46 AM
Thinking about heading out on a shopping trip to the thrift store tomorrow, try and take advantage of Halloween at the last second (still a shy buyer).  I'm not planning on spending much this time out, so I'm not sure what I'm looking to buy.  I definitely enjoy looking for dresses, but haven't really had much play with skirts, pants, or really any other outfit.  What would you go for?

I would buy a black lace bustier with a mustard colour sheer top.

Not quite on the selection list I know, but I have just ordered a sexy black lace bustier. It has got a very deep back band and a lace-up under-bust, so I am hoping to enhance my figure & maximise my boob assets by wearing it in conjunction with a deep corset-like suspender belt over my hips. The bustier & suspender belt should almost meet at my waist.

Sorry, but I am so excited about the bustier!

Ended up with a much better haul than I thought I would- and hit a lot of the categories!

Got a blue evening dress (half off for Halloween, what differentiated it as Halloween instead of dresses, I'm not sure)

A black miniskirt that is outrageously soft

And a tank top with a built in bra, killing two birds with one stone.

Not bad for $12...

Congrats!  I made a trip to the thrift store as well today, but couldn't summon up the courage to buy anything.  Maybe next time...  I hope your purchases bring you pleasure.

Just know that it's possible.  Sometimes it doesn't feel right.  Sometimes it does.  I've always felt great after I've done it.  Though Halloween does make for a very convenient excuse, I'm a little bummed I didn't take more advantage.

I've only just started purchasing, and after today I now have a collection.  Nothing coordinated yet, I'm not really sure where I want to take things.  But it's possible.

QuoteI've always felt great after I've done it.

I know what you are saying.  Conquering a fear can be exhilarating while being frozen into inaction can be disappointing.  I really thought Halloween presented a great opportunity to make a purchase without drawing attention to myself.  Unfortunately there were so many people about that I simply couldn't manage it.

I also prefer to do my face after about an hour of deciding what to wear ;)

Ohmygoodness! lol I'am the only one who prefers pants and jeans huh? I do like simple dresses but hardly wear them, however it is getting mucho colder where I live.

I LOVE the jeans, tops, pullovers, sweater's etc. at zumiez. Can't help myself, there all, well mostly just really nice and I feel like it makes sense with how I look and my personality, but theres nothing wrong with shoes, skirts and dresses either! :)

You're not the only one.  Turns out the jeans might be my favorite purchase so far.

Also skinny jeans.  Maybe a little too skinny, but they do look good in the rear.  Also neat just to have tried something new.

I ordered a slim coat yesterday. I hope it fits with me. It's about US$ 100, and I confess that nowadays I am addicted to shopping fashion items.

I love the look and feel of skinny jeans, but getting the waist and length just right is a challenge I haven't managed just yet.  Enjoy your jeans!

I have committed a New Year extravagance and I have just ordered FOUR black demi-cup push up bras!

I have found a supplier who has got just the sort of brassiere that I love to wear. That is, I like deep side & back bands with double hook fastenings.  Also, lots of support under the bust with a nice stiff moulding under the cleavage.

But best of all, I love the wider bra straps, with large adjustment buckles which sit tight over my back. I have had a lot of trouble with dropped bra straps, and with my previous "little girls" bras with spaghetti straps I found that when they were tight enough to stay put, they made grooves in my shoulders. My God, advocating wide bra straps does sound so frumpy!

But with these bras, I can strap myself in nice & snug, with lots of side support, tons of push up, a nice bit of nipple wobble, tight straps which don't slip or dig in, but also with buckle bumps which show through my top, and which make it obvious that I am wearing a bra.

I have got several tight white tops, which look like they have been sprayed on me. I have worn white and pink bras under them, but with really no reaction from neighbours, in supermarket queues etc.

Maybe these new black bra straps will attract attention. I do really want somebody to ask me "are you wearing a bra?", but it is surprisingly difficult to provoke any response.  Maybe all the other guys have got bras on?

hah would be sooooo awkward to have some random stranger in a shop ask me if i was wearing a bra, but at the same time, would be interesting if someone did have the moxy to ask a complete stranger if they were wearing a bra. :p

I got the dress I had ordered, and tried to wear it at my office in a hurry.

The ankle boots do not match well...., but I like the style of the dress. It is not so much warm, and for spring and warm-winter days. I will be in Seoul next week for a meeting in a government complex. If the weather allows, I am going to wear it. Seems to good for official events. I will wear long boots.
