What does everyone wear? Does it depend on the event and season?
Yes, it depends on season and event. I love fall and winter because that is knee boot weather!! I love knee high boots both with a small heel and without. If I go out to celebrate it is of course higher heels, thigh stockings and garters. Sandals and such are spring and summer for me and I like open toe best (shows off my painted nails). I prefer athletic shoes for things such as college football games (go Pokes) and events such as state fairs. Thigh boots are for, well, other events *giggle*. But the only important thing is have fun and wear what YOU find works for you. :)
Pumps, plimsoles and trainers. At 6ft I try and avoid anything that will add too much height and generally prefer function over form (though TBH I'd rather not wear anything on my feet, one of the reasons I love sunny music festivals so much, my inner hippy gets to come out and play)
With a face like yours baby no one is looking at your feet, trust me!! :)

Aww, cheers hun! ;D
So I was wondering a while back, how do girls put on shoes, while wearing a skirt, and not put their foot up on a chair to tie the shoes up, or sit on a stair to put on shoes and not in the process bend over, or sit in a pose not showing off your panties?
I learned a small lesson. You don't wear tie up shoes with a skirt. Well unless you don't mind exposing your panties :)
I like wearing sandles. I have learned through observations, that girls tend to wear sandals with no socks. Vital in a skirt too :)
It also depends on whether you are wearing something like stalkings, or panthose as they tend to demand a type of footwear too.
High boots, the real problem with those is just finding them in my size, not so much as the when.
But they do seem to be a late fall winter article.
I never wear running shoes, that is a me thing though. I wear ankle high winter boots mainly.
Heels? I hope I never actually need to. Loathe the things. My feet likely just won't tolerate it for that matter. I can't picture ever going to an event that would require a good dress and heels though.
I love heels,
In the colder months I love to wear knee high boots, I have 3 pairs Grey, brown and black. The black pair are platforms with a 6 inch heel, this my favorite pair of shoes. Brown pair are 3.5inch heels and the grey pair are 2.5 inch. I also have number of pairs pumps/platforms of varying heel heights, plus a some ankle boots. Most of my shoes are heels, The only flats i have are one pair of sneakers and pair woolie flat boots (lovely for the house) and my slippers.
In the warms months I wear high heel sandals, and only open toe shoes to show off my painted toe nails, which in the warmer months are always painted, either french manicure or a nice color. In the winter I normally just paint my toe nails with clear vanish. My favorite shoe for summer, is my black strapy sandals with a 4 inch heel, they very uncomfortable, but love wearing them, because I look so good in them, these are the only heels my feet get sore wearing. other shoes, well slip and sandals of varying heel height. The flats, a pair of flip flops and pair of leather sandals.
I do wear lot of high heel shoes, actually majority of the time.. My feet dont really get sore in them. The beginning It was very uncomfortable wearing heels, but I use to it. I learned to walk in heels properly, I can even run in heels, even my 6inch platform boots. I remember my roommate telling me in the beginning, woman do suffer for beauty and you will get use to heels and I did. I have even worm some uncomfortable bras with a dress, because my breasts look great in them.
I avoid heels usually....I am tall enough already. My cisgender Room Mate is the same height as me, and I see how intimidated men are when she wears heels. The last thing I need to do is scare them away...lol
I typically go for low-heeled boots or athletic shoes....although I have this nice pair of suede loafers that I have been wearing an awful lot lately.
Sandals or boring "professional" flats or sneakers in summer, sneakers or those flats or snow boots in winter. I wear heels on special occasions, like 3-4X a year. :)
Boots, boots, boots! Love them. Short, mid, knee! At 6'3" though they can't have much if any heel, I have a hard enough time blending in and not hitting my head as it is! Boots aren't so practical in the hotter summer months so it's good I also like sandals and basic flats as a compromise.
Sandals or sneakers for the most part. Rarely I'll wear boots or heels. I don't have an issue with height (I'm 5'3"), but I rarely see women wear heels as they're not in atm (and haven't been for years).
I tend to change what im wearing by my outfit and by my mood. A perfect example of that is sometimes ill wear heels and jeans, others ill wear flip flops or tennis shoes....hell sometimes ill just go barefooted lol.
Well, I'm still in guy mode, so it's hard for me to answer. Right now, I usually wear loafers. It depends on the day and what colors I'm wearing. I like to mix up my shoes.
In the future, sandals will remain a big no no for me. I would hate to show off my feet and don't care for them in particular. Heels are okay, but it depends on how big the heel is. I don't want to be the jolly green giant. Most likely I'll stick to flats, but I really want to pull off some heels. We'll see. It's going to be fun! :)
It doesn't really matter to me what time of year it is when picking shoes. My preference at the moment is knee-high heeled boots.

I only have one pair of shoes with laces and you wouldn't typically wear them with a skirt. Jogging pants maybe..

If you don't want to show of your knickers then there's something called keeping your knees together?! Dear.
