So being a bigger girl stores like Torrid are amazing....and working there would be a dream come true, especially because of the discount on clothes....ill soo need my own dresser/closet lol....but im wondering before i go applying, are they a transgender friendly employer, or would i basically be waisting my time applying?
Thanks yall.
Kari.
So im kinda shocked no one replied yet.....is it cuz no one has herd.much about them or there parent company?
I haven't heard about Torrid in many years...maybe 6-7? Wow, they still around? (That was pre-transition for me, I didn't care much for either Torrid or Hot Topic, too girlie)
Kari,
You have nothing to lose by applying except your status as unemployed.I just Googled them and their reviews are 4.5 out of 5 with 47333 reviews to me that is outstanding. Apply and good luck also their clothes look pretty sharp ! Pat
Sorry, but I generally shop at Walmart. They have my size.
The cloths look nice. I would apply and see what comes of it.
I have purchased clothing there with my wife in guy mode (them knowing it was for me.) and no problem at all. Unfortunately most items I was too skinny for but their clothing was not for the tall variety like myself. I've had better luck with some items at Hot Topic than Torrid. However Hot Topic is more fetish clothing, but don't mind it for dungeon wear :)
Torrid is trans friendly.
The first few times I shopped at Torrid was after I was full time, but before my legal name and gender change. The staff at my local Torrid were absolutely professional: helping me find the right size, no awkward comments about using the fitting rooms, and they didn't bat an eye when I paid with my debit card showing a very male name on it.
So, the Torrid here in San Mateo is definitely trans-friendly.
Well i applied so lets see what happens.
I expect to see some pretty dresses on you in the future ! Pat
