Ok so my girlfriend comes up to me and is being extra super sweet so of course I know something is up. I ask her what's on her mind and she says the words I've known were bound to come up sometime.
"Babe I wanna have a baby"
First reaction I have WHAT?! I'm currently 22 years old and not really mature for my age. She's a couple years younger than me and is more mature than me. We live in a town where it's (unfortunately) normal for people to get pregnant at 16 or 17 years old. So she already feels behind in the baby making marathon that's happening in this town. To top it off she has older relatives having their 2nd or 3rd child, so it's like babies are being shot at me from all directions and of course she wants a little squirming mini human that's utterly adorable as it soils itself in my arms. How does one prepare to bring another human being into this world? I am a certified Vet Assistant and Animal Care Specialist, so I perfer animals over humans. I do want a baby too just not right now. How do I diffuse her biological clock without crushing her completely???
